Fitness, Reviews & Products, Motivation

If you're thinking about attending your first yoga class, first of all, congratulations! All kinds of people enjoy the benefits of yoga, and you're about to join them!

You should know that, as long as you're wearing something that's comfortable, doesn't restrict movement, and won't make you too hot, any clothes you choose should be fine. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when packing your gym bag for yoga class:

Play golf like Luke Wilson (or at least look like him on the course)

Celebs & Entertainment, Reviews & Products

There's no doubt that Luke Wilson is a certified Hollywood hottie. He always looks comfortable, whether he's on the red carpet, jogging, or heading out for a day of golf (even sporting this cheesy mustache!).

Puma obviously recognized this as a marketable trait (in addition to the fact that Wilson has been ranked a Top 40 Hollywood Golfer by Golf Digest) and enlisted him, along with pro golfer Johan Edfors, to create a line of specialty golf products. We can expect to see chrome details and high quality Merino wool in the collection, along with personal color combinations and selections. It's all inspired by golfers of the 1950's, when dressing for the course meant dressing.

Wilson's selections are reported to be darker, casual colors, with Edfors opted for bright colors like pink and green. Additionally, there's rumored to be a golf shoe that can be worn off the course by removing the spikes. Don't plan on waiting until you get your newest Luke Wilson wear to bust out your clubs, though -- we won't see this collection until May.

Look hot working up a sweat: Nina Bucci Upscale Active Fashion

Fitness, Reviews & Products

The gym I attend has the initials GHFC, and it's often referred to as Gainesville Hair & Fashion because many of the members put a lot of thought into how they look for their workouts. I don't spend much time on make-up or hair for my workout, and I don't always match all that well, there are times when I want to look a bit nicer.

For example, I tried a new class this past Monday -- Hip Hop Live (it was awesome, but I'll tell you about it in another post). I actually stressed a bit over what to wear. I ended up looking like a dork, but my wardrobe was only part of the problem.

Also, if you're joining a new gym, sometimes you also want to make friends or meet someone special who shares your interests, in which case it makes a lot of sense to put some effort into your appearance.

For you ladies who are looking to incorporate a few special pieces into your workout wardrobe, check out Nina Bucci. You'll find everything from capris and workout pants to bra tops and jackets, with a few extras thrown in for good measure (like bottom cover-ups). While the prices are a little steep ($63 for a "mini tee"), there is a section for 50% off items that's well worth checking out!

What to wear: Kickboxing

Fitness

Are you thinking about incorporating kickboxing into your fitness routine? Good for you! It's a blast and a serious workout. You're sure to work up a sweat, burn tons of calories, and feel great afterward (even if you are a little sore).

If you're anything like me, you want to make sure you look the part when you walk in for your first class or training session -- I don't mean that you need to have all of the authentic gear or anything, but you should know what attire and equipment is necessary for the best results. Your class or trainer will likely provide a lot of the equipment, but you still have to provide your wardrobe:

Trash the fat pants

Diet & Weight Loss

Got a whole wardrobe of fat clothes? You shouldn't.

Keeping a stash of roomy clothing could be sabotaging your weight loss, the experts at the American Dietetic Association tell Woman's Day magazine this February. Hold on to one pair of baggy pants to remind yourself of the progress you've made but toss the rest. Wearing them can prevent you from noticing your weight creep back on and saving them may give you a reason to one day fit back into them.

Your best clothing bet: Stick with items that fit your body well. It's key for long-term diet success.

The colors you wear can affect how you feel

Alternative & Green Health

What season are you? If you don't know what I'm talking about then keep reading. Whether it's through official color therapy, or the difference in how you feel between putting on a red or a yellow sweater, color can have a significant impact on your life -- whether you like it, or believe it, or not.

Based on a lifetime of getting dressed every morning, most adults have a general idea of which colors look good on them and which ones don't. But not everybody takes that knowledge into consideration when clothes shopping or when picking out an outfit for work. Making a conscious effort to wear your best colors can help you feel and look younger and more vibrant, while taking emphasis off your imperfections and highlighting your assets.

Bottom line: next time you feel drab or dull take a look at your outfit, could it be partially to blame? If you think so, but aren't sure what colors you should be wearing (or what "season" you are), answer these questions to find out.
