Ugly Betty's Ana Ortiz Talks Fitness, Pizza and Dropping Baby Weight

Less than three months after giving birth to her first child, Ana Ortiz hosted the FITNESS Mind Body Spirit Games in New York's Central Park. That's Fit caught up with the actress who plays Betty's sister Hilda to find out what she does to fit into some of her outrageous outfits on the show, and how she's looking so good just after having her daughter, Paloma. Despite the success of "Ugly Betty," this New York native is completely grounded, from being honest about shoring up her diet as she gets older, to admitting she doesn't like to pay a lot to get a good workout.
That's Fit: You recently had a baby, what have you done to get back into shape?
Ana Ortiz: They do say breastfeeding is nature's lipo. I attribute it to working out while I was pregnant. I particularly attribute it to this place in New York, Le Maison, where you're using your own body weight and rubber bands. Also, I'm in New York, so I'm walking everywhere.
Lindsay Lohan is too thin - Sam's to blame, says friends
These days, it's seems Lindsay Lohan is looking better than she has over the past few years -- she looks happy and together, often alongside girlfriend Samantha Ronson. But she also looks remarkably thinner -- not that the starlet was ever big or anything, but these days, it seems she could turn sideways and disappear. We could give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that she's 'naturally thin' and her weight loss is down to a healthy diet and exercise, but where's the fun in that? Plus, Lindsay's friends are saying otherwise. According to FemaleFirst.co.uk, a source close to the actress says, "She is thinner than ever and we are concerned she is taking it too far. Lindsay's weight has always fluctuated, but since falling in love with Samantha Ronson -- who is naturally very slim -- Lindsay seems desperate to lose more weight."
What do you think? Is Lindsay's weight loss healthy?

How much will Kim Kardashian dare to bare on Dancing With The Stars? That all depends on how the show's rigorous training affects her booty.Ashley Jensen of Ugly Betty doesn't think she's all that pretty, but she doesn't think she's unattractive, either. She's confident in who she is, and has a problem with the way so many women bend over backward to achieve the Hollywood standard of ideal beauty. Don't expect to see her at the plastic surgeon anytime soon!
Movie stars often are required to gain weight for a role, as Beyonce did recently in order to portray Etta James. While she enjoyed packing on the pounds (and being paid to do so), she was a little less thrilled when filming was over.
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Ashley Jensen's healthy, un-Hollywood attitude

Ashley Jensen, who plays Christina on the hit show Ugly Betty, isn't your typical actress -- she shares none of the attitude about appearance that you'd expect from someone in the spotlight. She shared her feelings about beauty and weight and the Hollywood ideal in a recent interview with Daily Mail."I always knew I was never the prettiest or ugliest girl in the room. Life's too short to inject botulism into your face to get rid of a tiny line because you've laughed too much. I don't feel a need to loose weight, because I'm not 21. I'm happy with my package," said the actress.
She added, "We're obsessed with how we're meant to look. I feel a responsibility to not do that because it's dangerous. People end up having exactly the same bodies."
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Becki Newton's tricep toning trick
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Becki Newton, who plays the snarky receptionist, Amanda, on Ugly Betty, is always dressed to kill. On the show she's generally wearing office attire. Well, the kind of office attire one would wear for a job at a fashion magazine. On the red carpet, however, she tends to go with strapless, slinky, sexy dresses, and she knows just how to get ready to bare her arms.Newton's trainer, Elise Gulan, says the actress uses tricep push-ups to get her arms toned and ready for strapless gowns. Before a big event, Newton will do 15 to 20 reps up to four times a week, which is something I think we could all work into our fitness routines.
Gulan explains that this exercise makes a big difference quickly because, "Triceps are the biggest muscle group in the arms, so it's going to build really quickly."
Glamour make Ugly Betty Skinny Betty
Celebrities and Entertainment, Celebs & Entertainment
Off all the women's magazines out there, I've always thought that Glamour was one of the more reputable ones. They seem to tackle issues of global importance and, at least in most of the issues I've read, were quick to emphasize healthy lifestyles over looking good at any cost.
But regardless of where they stand on such issues, they're still joining countless other magazines who crop images of their cover models to make them look impossibly thin. The latest victim is Ugly Betty star America Ferrera. I think there's no question that they cropped the image of her -- just look at those arms. They are certainly not proportional to the rest of the body.
I understand that thin sells more magazines than frumpy, but Ferrera is the furthest thing from frumpy -- she's gorgeous and talented and fully deserving of a spot on the cover as is. Don't you agree?
