Jack Black Too Big for Bergdorf Goodman
Celebs & Entertainment, Reviews & Products

First of all, Jack hates to dress up. "I was going to say screw it," he reports. "I was just going to wear my jockies and trench coat." But he followed suit after deciding he better look the part since he'd be sitting next to the sharp-dressing Robert DeNiro and P. Diddy. So, off to Bergdorf Goodman he went, where he was greeted with this comment from the sales lady: "Your neck ... it's too big. It's too big for this store! I'm sorry Jack Black, but you might want to go to Big and Tall."
Ouch. Black became flushed with shame and marched off to, yes, the Big and Tall store. "I was welcomed with loving open arms by my people," Black reports. No mention of any plans for trimming down. Perhaps the star is happy with the skin he's in.
Goodbye string bikini, hello little swimdress
I've never been a string bikini girl. I prefer the athletic two-piece swimwear scene. One day, I'm sure I'll ditch this preference too. When I do, I might opt for the little black, expresso, or olive swimdress by Patti Compton. It's a piece for women who have outgrown anything with strings but aren't ready for a suit that ages them prematurely. This swimdress, featured in the August 2008 Oprah Magazine, combines a full bathing suit and a slip cut with a flirty side slit. Coverage with an attitude is what this suit offers -- no wires, cups, or sucking in required.
Start saving now. This little dress will cost you $265.
Denise Richards aims to take off a few
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Take drastic measures, that's what.
According to a celebrity gossip TV show (can't remember which one), Richards is embracing the latest diet cleanse sweeping Hollywood. It's all about lemons, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup. Called the Master Cleanse or Lemonade Diet, this technique for losing weight is essentially a 10-day fast. Doesn't sound so fun to me. To Richards either, who says she might rather be fat than drink this stuff. Will she do it? Tune in to That's Complicated on E! tomorrow at 10 PM, EST to find out. In the meantime, check out this video, all about the Master Cleanse from a dietitian's point of view.

Everyone of course! I recently returned from a fabulous vacation with my family at Walt Disney World in Florida. Our six-day adventure was non-stop fun, and a major highlight of this trip were our days at the Disney water parks. We enjoyed both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon to the max and would love to go back every sunny day of the year.
I had a little sad moment though as I chatted with a father of two little ones in the kiddie section of Blizzard Beach. We were commenting on what a challenge it was to keep perfect track of our children in such a busy, water-filled place. The poor guy told me he was alone with his children, because his wife didn't feel like she could go out in public in her swimsuit. He didn't want the kids to miss out on the water fun, so he took them himself. She stayed back at their resort.
It made me amazingly sad to think that this woman felt so uncomfortable in her skin that she couldn't even enjoy a beautiful day with her family at a ridiculously perfect place. I know we all feel self conscious at times (including me). And even as my profession is to educate and inspire others to be more fit ... I wouldn't want anyone to place their life on hold because of their body shape or size. That woman is a really special part of her family, and I imagine they missed her very much.
On fudge and a swimsuit that won't stay up
I gave my husband fudge for his 40th birthday on Saturday, as promised. Don't worry. It was a treat. It's not a way of life. John loved it -- both the milk chocolate and peanut butter varieties -- and our boys loved it too. All three of them gobbled down the thick, rich indulgence. I just watched. Sugar is not my thing.I also gave John a swim suit for his birthday. The one he's been wearing for oh, seven years or longer, just drips off his year-old lean body. So I replaced his Large with a Medium and presented it to him at his mini-party on Saturday. He loved it. Nothing like a new suit after nearly a decade, I guess. One small problem though. It was too big. With one easy tug, he pulled those trunks completely off his hips and down to the ground. He's down 40 pounds lately, and apparently, that's more than a one-size change.
So off I go in search of a smaller suit. And maybe another hunk of fudge.

Keira Knightley wins lawsuit over being too thin
Celebrities and Entertainment, Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Keira Knightley has won her lawsuit against the British newspaper "The Daily Mail" for running a picture of the actress alongside the story headline "If Pictures Like This One of Keira Carried a Health Warning, My Darling Daughter Might Have Lived." Knightley's lawyers say the reason she chose to pursue this was because the article made it seem that she was somehow personally responsible for the death of the 19 yr old girl featured, who had lost a battle with anorexia. Knightley contends that she does not have an eating disorder, and that her weight as an adult has never fluctuated by more than a few pounds. The court awarded Knightley £3,000 ($5,965) and she plans to donate it along with £3,000 of her own to BEAT, a charity that helps people with eating and mental disorders.
