Fired for Being 'Fat'? SNL's Weighty Controversy

According to Ted Casablanca's column on E! Online, a comedy source says that the producers at "SNL" told Wilson she had to lose 30 pounds during the summer break, and when she didn't, she was off the show.
It should be noted that the voluptuous comedienne failed to develop the kind of comic character that would make her a leading lady on the show. Casablanca notes that she even made a Funny or Die video based on that fact.

I just love Beyonce's Single Ladies video. And I'm not alone. The video has more than 30 million hits on YouTube, it's inspired an amazing number of home-videoed spoofs and one of the best ever Saturday Night Live skits, thanks to Justin Timberlake (who looks surprisingly good in a leotard). If the song gets you moving, then you might as well learn to shake it like Beyonce. Dance instructor Michelle Hillier of fit2dance breaks down the six main moves in the video. Dancing is a great way to get fit while having fun. In the time it takes you to learn the moves, master the choreography and dance along with Beyonce, you'll have burned a lot of calories. And who knows? If you are a single lady, seeing your sexy moves might inspire your man to "put a ring on it" after all.
Molly Shannon Uses Exercise as Stress Therapy
Comedian Molly Shannon makes it hard to keep a straight face, but one thing she's always serious about is fitness. And it's not just because she's in the public eye. "I'd exercise and eat right even if I didn't work in front of a camera," says the star, 44. "Growing up, I always liked playing soccer and running around. Now I run for 20 to 30 minutes a day. It helps me sleep. It de-stresses me. I love it, love it, love it!"As for eating well? She has one secret -- she never skips breakfast. "I usually eat something light, like a smoothie and fruit," she says, adding, "I take 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil mixed with yogurt and a little granola."
Well, that advice is not something to laugh about. Sounds .. um, healthy (Or, uh, boring?). Your thoughts?

Moms with new babies don't need to slink down catwalks in revealing garb just after their hospital discharge. So go away Brooke Burke and your Taut belly wrap (if only it were really as easy as binding your belly). I'd rather look at Amy, who incidentally, will probably be teeny-tiny in another few weeks. Then I'll hate her too.

Horatio Sanz, was always the big guy on Saturday Night Live. And while the former SNL cast member hasn't lost his sense of humor, he has lost something else -- 100 pounds!
The funnyman admits to eating better, saying "I've been trying to come up with a joke about how I've lost weight and I was going to say, 'I stopped putting nuts in my sundaes." And while it's estimated that he's down about 100 pounds, he says, "I never weighed myself when I was at my fattest, because I was scared I might die."In addition to losing the ice cream toppings, Sanz has been hitting the gym, and it shows. Major congrats to him -- who knew he could be such a big loser?

When you put two super sexy stars on stage together in heels and leotards, people are inevitably going to compare them. That didn't stop Justin Timberlake from suiting up in a black leotard, tights, and heels, and playing Beyonce's backup dancer on last weekend's Saturday Night Live.
Did you miss it? You can check out a picture of JT with Beyonce here, and compare his looks to the backup dancer in the actual video for Beyonce's Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). I've got to say, he definitely has some lovely legs, and he certainly had the moves, but I'm not sure they can beat out Beyonce's stems.Speaking of the moves, it's no wonder Beyonce's legs look so sleek and strong. I dare you, just try doing some of those moves, shaking your hips while slowly lowering yourself to the ground and back up. When is this girl going to come out with a workout video?
