Jennifer Hudson: It's ok to skip the gym
Jennifer Hudson, the breakout star of Dreamgirls and Sex and the City, is an inspiration to all of us real girls who have curves. But is she going to pull a Nicole Richie and suddenly get all scary skinny on us? Not likely, says Hudson in the recent issue of OK Magazine: "I eat as best as I can to maintain my thickness. I don't want to be too thin, so it's OK not to work out every once in awhile if you want to maintain this," says the actress. On her healthy habits, she adds, "Moving around a lot is enough exercise, so I eat right ... Normally I eat a little trail mix in the morning, and a salad at lunch, and chicken and vegetables for dinner. What I cannot fight is chocolate chip cookies. It always wins."
It certainly sounds like she has a healthy body image. Your thoughts?

Kim Cattrall has no problem showing off her body as Samantha Jones in Sex and the City, so you might assume that she has a naturally fabulous figure and that keeping her body perfect would be the most important thing in the world to her. However, the star shared with Good Housekeeping her best beauty secrets, and you might be surprised at what she had to say.Her secret has nothing to do with painful treatments or fancy workouts. Instead, the 51-year-old star says, "I've exercised and dieted most of my life, because I'm a big girl -- I'm not a tiny little thing. But I've realized that the most important thing I can do to look good is just treat myself well ... Having my priorities in order has really helped me look better, fresher, and more relaxed."

Hot celebrities over 40 (and how they impact the rest of us)
Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
Shows like Desperate Housewives and Sex and the City have given the world a new way to look at aging. Turning 40 or 50 no longer necessarily means a party with an "Over the Hill" theme -- older men and women can be just as sexy as their much-younger counterparts. And that's a good thing. Right?Well, yes and no. It's fantastic that we are shedding our stereotypes regarding middle-age, for men as well as for women. Most men would agree that Halle Berry and Heather Locklear are just as sexy as any 20-year-old actress, and men over 40 include George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Pierce Brosnan -- 'nuf said.
However, eating disorders for adult women are on the rise. We see celebrities like Teri Hatcher, Demi Moore, and Kim Cattrall and while we know that the way they look simply isn't attainable for everyone, it doesn't mean many women don't try by resorting to anorexia or bulimia. Check out our gallery of super sexy celebrities who've celebrated 40 or more birthdays, but use these as inspiration, not for comparison. And, head over to AOL Body to see who they think is over 40 and still smokin' hot!

Britney Spears has been amazing in a number of ways lately, but most of them have not been positive, to say the least. However, she is apparently amazing her trainer, Marc Corliss, with her dedication. He states that her commitment and attitude are the reasons she's been able to drop 15 pounds in the last four weeks. Honestly, I would be surprised if she has dropped that much weight -- she is looking healthier, but that's a lot of weight to lose in such a short time. Either way, it's nice to see her smiling, and I'm happy to see that fitness is playing a role in her recovery.
Mario Lopez is sharing his hot body secrets in his book, Mario Lopez's Knockout Fitness, which goes on sale May 13. He's currently out stumping for the book, and while he admits that it's hard to find time for fitness, he believes everyone can achieve their best body. It's certainly helpful for him that his current job requires that he dance all day, but he has some down-to-earth tips -- eat healthy, keep a journal, and stay focused. Sounds like good advice to me!

Ashlee Simpson gives an interview to Shape magazine and talks about engaged life (it's fantastic), the tabloid gossip (it doesn't bother her anymore), and her workout, which generally takes place at her home and consists of using some weights and machines. However, her trainer added that much of her workout doesn't use equipment -- it uses her environment. She runs down her stairs, does lunges around her pool, runs back up, and does squats. Now if only we all had flights of stairs and fabulous pools to exercise around ...Sex and the City hottie Jason Lewis tells I'm Not Obsessed his trick for keeping fit -- he grills all his food. Tasty! Grilling, I mean. Not him. Well, maybe him. I'm flustered!
Jennifer Garner is featured in the May issue of Self and talks about her love of the farmers' markets during the summer as well as how much sunscreen she wears on a daily basis. Not only is she fit and beautiful -- she a smart and healthy role model, too!
Sex and the City star reveals secret battle with cancer
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Cynthia Nixon, well-known for her role as Miranda on Sex and the City, has recently revealed that she's been battling breast cancer. Diagnosed over a year ago, Nixon understandably decided to keep her news private. "I didn't want paparazzi at the hospital while I was going through this," said Nixon. The 42-year-old actress even scheduled surgery at a time that wouldn't cause her to miss any performances of the play she was in.Nixon has a family history of breast cancer as her mother also had the disease. Nixon admitted to feeling very scared but she also stated "I was very cognizant of if it's going to happen, this is the best way for it to happen, that it's found so early and we can just get right on it,"
Nixon underwent surgery and radiotherapy and has made a good recovery. She is now an ambassador for the Susan G. Komen foundation. Look for Cynthia Nixon in the upcoming Sex and the City movie soon. She offers this advice for women "Talk with your doctor, make healthy lifestyle choices and most importantly, know your body as that can make all the difference in the world."
Sex and the City stars weren't asked to lose weight
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
If you're a Sex and the City fan, then you're probably looking forward to May 30th, when the movie version of the show hits the big screen. Kristin Davis recently spoke with Us magazine and shared this healthy little tidbit about the four female stars: Not one of them was asked to lose weight for the movie. In an era of stick thin models and starvation diets, I think it's refreshing to see four beautiful women accepted for who they are. Davis claims that none of the four are into uber-low calorie diets and that she knows she's "never going to be the thinnest actress in town." (I think she's gorgeous.)
