We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs Weekly Roundup, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

You probably already know that Queen Latifah has dropped a bit of weight, but did you know that she's not doing it alone? Her whole family is in on it, and they've gotten some great results!

Some celebs seem to always have energy, which is amazing considering their schedules. Jacki's got the scoop on how several stars stay motivated. And, aside from staying energized, lots of stars find the need to slim down, fatten up, or get toned for a role -- check out which eight celebs made the list of great transformations here.

Running for VP is stressful, so it's lucky that Sarah Palin has this custom yoga routine to help her destress.

Weight loss a family affair for Queen Latifah

Celebs & Entertainment

Amidst the promotion fury surrounding her latest movie, The Secret Life of Bees (can't wait to see that that one!), Queen Latifah was recently on Oprah talking about not only the movie but her phenomenal weight loss over the last few months.

However, on the show, she revealed that she didn't do it alone -- her mother has since lost 20 lbs and her aunt has trimmed down by 36 lbs! Wow -- way to go Latifah family (or whatever they are called ... ? ). Apparently the whole family got in on the healthy changes, and rightly so, as many members of her family are borderline diabetic.

Take some advice from the Queen -- embarking on a diet and fitness plan with a friend or family member is a great way to ensure you stay motivated and stick to the plan.

NBA star is a man with a Jenny Craig plan

Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

Jenny Craig is not just for women. And guys, while you might get some flack from your buddies when they see your diet food in the fridge, it'll all be OK in the end. Just ask NBA star Baron Davis, who is dropping weight and looking great, thanks to the Jenny Craig endeavors he started in August.

Davis, the 6'3" L.A. Clipper guard (effective July 1), was inspired by current Jenny Craig spokeswomen Queen Latifah and decided to jump on board and get ready for basketball season. He'd been letting his diet and fitness plan go by the wayside, you see, and it was time he made a change.

"In the off-season, it's kind of hard to maintain day-to-day," he says. "I don't want to get up and cook. And when I pig out, I'm the type of person where there's no limit to what I can do."

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs Weekly Round-up: June 20, 2008

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs Weekly Roundup, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Kristen Johnson has dropped 60 pounds recently, taking her from a size 12 to a size 6. She thinks she might need to put a few pounds back on (she is six feet tall, after all), but she's not going to change her new habits, which include eating lots of veggies, oatmeal, and fish, skipping the booze, and making fruit pies.

Queen Latifah has reached the weight goal she set when she joined Jenny Craig. She aimed to lose five to ten percent of her body weight in order to manage her health, and she has accomplished that. She feels it's important that she continues to represent "the big girls," but now she's also representing folks who hit the gym hard.

Linda Cardellini of ER has a smart workout plan. She keeps her elliptical machine between the kitchen and the couch so she never sits around and wanders from the kitchen to the couch and back again without getting in a workout.

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Queen Latifah Has Reached Her Goal!

Queen Latifah has always been one to embrace her curves, and even as the face of Jenny Craig, that hasn't changed. The actress/singer stated from day one that her weight-loss goals weren't based on "getting skinny," but rather on being healthy.

She aimed to lose five to ten percent of her body weight, and she has reached that goal. She says that amount of weight makes a difference in health-related issues, and many of her fans appreciate the fact that she's losing weight for health, not Hollywood.

Queen Latifah has followed the Jenny Craig program in addition to hitting the gym five to seven times a week and spending an hour on various cardio machines. I think it's fantastic that she's working hard to be her healthiest, and it's great that she was able to reach her goal weight in just a few months.

No more Jenny Craig for Kirstie Alley

Celebrities and Entertainment, Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements

It's been three years since Kirstie Alley signed on as a spokesmodel for the Jenny Craig weight-loss program, which helped her shed 75 pounds and gave her the courage to strut her bikini stuff in front of a live Oprah audience. Now, it's time for the actress to step aside.

Alley, who has maintained her weight loss for more than one year and remains on Jenny Craig's maintenance program, passes her torch to former One Day at a Time star Valerie Bertinelli who has successfully lost more than 30 pounds. Queen Latifah also joins the Jenny Craig cast as the new face of 2008.

Alley says she's thankful for the opportunity to help so many other people lose weight and keep it off.

Queen Latifah is fit. Here's how she did it

Celebs & Entertainment

Queen Latifah is one celebrity who has never fit the 'stick and bones' ideal that most Hollywood starlets strive towards today. But that doesn't mean she doesn't work as hard as everyone else to get that motion picture-perfect figure. Glee Magazine recently spilled the Queen's workout secrets and she does just as much sweating as everyone else. How does she get in shape for a film? It's a combination of circuit training, lots of cardio and yoga and pilates sessions to calm her mind. It's all part of a workout designed by Jeanette Jenkins of The Hollywood Trainer.

If you're interested in getting the same kind of workout, you can buy purchasing The Hollywood Trainer DVD, which Queen Latifah endorses. Or, if you've tried it, what do you think?
