Victoria Beckham Goes Sporty Spice
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
For a woman who once refused to go to the gym because she couldn't bear to wear flat shoes, Victoria Beckham has certainly had a change of heart. The former Spice Girl is now making the gym a priority, getting herself there six days a week for two hours and clocking eight miles a day on the treadmill. Additionally, she's taken advantage of the Pilates and spinning classes. Now, I don't care who you are -- that's a major commitment!
She's even getting props from fellow gym rats (if they can even be considered gym "rats" when they belong to the exclusive, $2200 per year Sports Club/LA). "Posh is always low-key when she comes here. She wears normal gym gear and is always happy to hang out and have a juice and a chat afterwards," a fellow gym member told the Daily Mail. They also mention that she looks better without all of the makeup, or "war paint," on her mug.
Sources say that Beckham, who has been a famously light eater (there are plenty of reports of her eating little more than water and a couple of pieces of lettuce when at a restaurant), is eating more now because her metabolism is so fired up, and she told the Daily Mail, "I feel energized and healthy."
Victoria Beckham - Pasta is her Poison
Considered one of Hollywood's scary skinny elite, Victoria Beckham doesn't seem to have any trouble keeping the pounds off. Is it because she avoids carbs? The fashionista did admit that she doesn't eat Italy's national dish -- which is unfortunate seeing as she's moving to Milan this year. Nope, that's not it at all -- she physically can't eat it, according to FemaleFirst.co.uk. "It's not that I avoid carbs, I'm allergic to pasta. It's like my kryptonite. I feel like I can't digest it properly and it makes me feel ill," she says.
Pasta is my kryptonite too. I have this unfortunate condition in which I eat tons of it because I love it, and then my hips get wider and I can't fit into my jeans. Oh, wait. That's not really an allergy I guess.
What's your kryptonite?
Victoria Beckham - She Wears a Tracksuit, Claims to Run Four Miles a Day
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Seems Victoria is all about the tracksuit, though. "I run around the house in a tracksuit sometimes," says the 34-year-old wife of soccer great David Beckham and mom of three little boys. Apparently, the tracksuit is as much for function as fashion -- Victoria reportedly runs four miles a day. While I have a hard time imagining Posh swapping the spiky stilettos for the New Balance, I suppose this snazzy gal is on the right track. Perhaps she is so thin and trim because of her fierce workout pursuits. What do you think? Is this Beckham sweating in her tracksuit or not?
Victoria Beckham, marathon mama?
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
Is Victoria Beckham planning to run the New York City marathon this weekend? We know Posh has taken up running, but reports are coming out that she's actually been training for months in secret (just like her best gal pal, Katie Holmes did last year) and intends to run the race if she's ready. If she's not, she'll put it off until next February and take part in the Los Angeles marathon instead. There's no doubt she's got some strong legs -- have you seen the insane high heels that woman wears? She walks in them as easily as I walk in my Chuck Taylors. But really? A marathon for Victoria Beckham, who once proclaimed she didn't work out because she didn't like wearing anything but heels?
If she participates, she certainly won't be the first celeb to become a marathoner. Check out the gallery for a few famous faces who've completed 26.2 miles.

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs - Victoria Beckham found a new way to stay slim
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
Victoria Beckham is not exactly known for her healthy habits. It was well-known that she kept her infamously skinny figure by eating as little as possible, and the only working out she did involved shopping in enormous heels (which, I will say takes some major calf and ankle strength). Now, though, she's made some major changes."I run four miles, seven days a week. I feel energized and healthy," Posh explained, adding that the self-discipline helps her think clearly and get to work in the morning. She's gotten some help from her uber-fit hubby, too: "David puts music on my iPod and Gordon Ramsay bought me trainers where you have a little chip so you can clock how far you're running."
Victoria also says she's eating more, and is pretty happy about it. "I think you do eat more when you're working out. And you want to eat healthily, so it's good all round."
Posh says diet pill story completely untrue
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
I'm curious about how Victoria Beckham stays so skinny. I'm not alone. The media has long speculated about how Posh maintains her rail thin body. Well, it's not from diet pills, says the superstar, who will sue the U.K. magazine NOW over an article claiming she's hooked on them (and sex too).Says the Brit's agent: "The accusation is dangerous, defamatory and blatantly untrue. Victoria takes her position as a role model to young women very seriously and is horrified by this hurtful, fabricated story. It is now with her lawyers."
Now's story claimed that the former Spice Girl's sister has been getting the pills for her in Britain and then shipping them to the U.S.
Spice Girl likes being curvy
Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements
"I like being curvy," says the new mom of almost one year who just isn't someone to obsess about her figure 24/7. That doesn't mean she wasn't concerned about fitting into her skimpy Spice Girl outfits after having her baby boy, though. Breastfeeding and lots of walking helped get her into shape and she's careful about what she eats too -- no carbs on this girl's dinner menu.
When she's in the mood to indulge, Baby Spice says she does love chips, Coke, a great wine, and Chinese food. Cheers to a woman who knows what she likes, curves included.
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Britney Spears trying Posh's diet
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs, Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements
It's no secret how Victoria Beckham stays so very thin -- the girl doesn't eat much. It's not through physical activity seeing as how she hates wearing any sort of flat shoe. Not exactly a healthy role model for weight loss, but unfortunately Britney Spears seems to have picked up on some of the ways Posh stays slim and is trying to follow that diet.According to the Daily Mail, a source in L.A. says, "She's been eating steamed fish and edemame beans. She was told that's how Victoria stays so slim." Doesn't sound so bad, right? Just wait -- it gets worse.
"She is also drinking goji berry juice and seaweed shakes to stave off hunger and starts each day with a cup of hot water and lemon." I hope Britney and her trainers realize that Posh may be slim, but she's not healthy -- I'm happy to see Britney hitting the gym, and if she keeps that up and eats healthfully, she should be in great shape before you know it. No need to resort to seaweed shakes (unless she likes them, but I think it sounds gross!).
Work your calves with these $3600 shoes
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
If you have a great sense of balance, a heightened sense of style, a lot of extra cash, and want to build up your calves, these shoes might be for you. Oh, and when I say heightened sense of style, I mean that your taste runs toward the Posh Spice end of the spectrum, not so much toward Sporty, because Victoria Beckham owns a pair of these $3600 Antonio Berardi shoes. So, what are the pros of these shoes? Well, you would certainly work your calves, and maybe Posh would want to be your friend.
Cons? You'll probably fall over, your regular friends will make fun of you, and maybe Posh would want to be your friend.
For $3600, I think you can find better ways to build calf muscles, don't you?
New celebrity diet: Hang out with Posh Spice
Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
Forget horse asthma medication and cocaine and working out 17 hours a day: the newest way for celebs to lose weight is apparently to spend a little time with Victoria Beckham. Katie Holmes may have gotten diet tips from her, and now food stalkers say Eva Longoria is next. Fit & Healthy reports, "'They had bruschetta and an artichoke dip at the table for the group, and I never saw Eva eat a thing,' says an eyewitness. Victoria nibbled a tiny bit while drinking white wine." Okay, maybe Eva just wasn't hungry that night. I hope. Shucks, I think we could all take a tip from Posh's husband, cuz a little junk in the trunk is way hot. And I have no idea how Victoria stays skinny, especially since celebs aren't always that up front with their true diet plans. But yes, not eating will make you lose weight. It's just not particularly healthy for, you know, functioning in the world. If the item is correct, and ladies really do get antsy being photographed next to Posh because she's such a rail, then yikes. Now, why would celebrities be anxious about a few photos?
