Victoria Silvestedt Says High Heels Make Her Slim
Swedish blonde bombshell Victoria Silvstedt has a figure most would die for -- both women and men. But staying slim is all in the job for the 34-year-old supermodel and Playboy pin-up -- she credits her tiny waist to wearing heels all day. "How I stay in shape? 12 hours a day in heels," she recently told reporters, adding, "I'm, literally moving all day long in heels. When I'm not working I do go to the gym and do my cardio but nothing beats the high-heel workout!"
Really? That's all it takes? I should have traded my flats for stillettos years ago. Except heels apparently ruin your back. Um, maybe comfy shoes and a regular cardio workout don't sound so bad after all.
Kendra Wilkinson - the sporty Girl Next Door is engaged to an athlete
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
The resident athlete of the The Girls Next Door trio, Kendra Wilkinson, is engaged to Hank Baskett, wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. And guess who's going to give her away? None other than Hugh Hefner, of course. And the ceremony will be held at the Playboy Mansion.Hank Baskett may be the pro athlete of the pair, but Kendra's no wimpy bunny. She's a fan of nearly every sport and is a solid soccer player. While Kendra has been seen running and working out on her TV show, she has a somewhat unusual choice for a favorite exercise. On her MySpace page she claims "You know I can shake what I got and I think it's the best exercise."
If shaking your (ahem) assets isn't quite your thing, you could take some more mainstream fitness tips from the The Girls Next Door workout video, which features Kendra as well as the other Girls Next Door, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt. Jake Steinfeld of Body by Jake and other professional trainers served as consultants on the DVD so the ideas and techniques are effective and sound.
Carol Alt poses for Playboy (at 47!) to promote raw food diet
Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Alternative & Green Health
Carol Alt might be a world-famous model, but she insists she's never been comfortable with her body. She says she was a heavy kid -- in fact, her sister is a plus-size model -- and even at 20 years old, she was tremendously uncomfortable with posing in a bathing suit. Now, at 47 years old, she's decided to pose for Playboy -- kind of a big change, right?. So what's changed? Mainly, her diet. Alt is a raw food devotee, and says that it's the reason she looks (and feels) as great as she does. She's even written a book about eating raw.
"In reality, at my age, to know that I have come to such a point, where I am comfortable enough with my own body after 12 years of eating raw ... is an amazing miracle in itself," said Alt. "I want to enlighten other people to the fact that as they age, they don't have to start feeling worse about themselves -- getting tired, getting moody, getting fat and becoming ill," adding that her purpose in posing nude is to get people talking about her message, which is "eat healthy, look healthy, and be healthy." Well, this certainly is getting people talking!
Anna Faris dropped 10 to be in Playboy shape
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
In Anna Faris' new movie, The House Bunny, her clothes are a bit more revealing than the star is used to. In fact, when her character walks into a sorority house her attire prompts someone to state that it isn't a brothel. Faris' character -- sweet, kind, and a little more than ditzy -- states "Oh, I'm not looking to make soup." To get her body into Playboy bunny shape for the role, Faris had to drop 10 pounds. "It was awful," said Faris. "I had to work out a lot and could only eat certain things. It was the regime of it all that I didn't enjoy." Despite her super-fit frame, Faris was still a bit self-conscious wearing such revealing costumes.
After filming wrapped, Faris put the 10 pounds back on.
Kim Kardashian's stay-slim secrets
When you're known for little else than being Paris Hilton's former sidekick, you've got to distinguish yourself from the socialite somehow, right? Kim Kardashian has done that a few ways -- with a sex tape, a reality show and now a nude spread in Playboy. How did she buff up for the shoot? The Fit List recently revealed her workout secrets. Kim looked pretty good before -- she walks lots and uses her Elliptical trainer every day -- but in addition, she toned up with these exercises:
- Lunges
- Sit-down squats
- Arm and leg opposition
- Push-ups
- Tricep dips
