Coffee - Is Your Non-Fat Milk Really Non-Fat?
Have you ever stood in line at the coffee shop determined to be a good little coffee drinker and order non-fat milk? Then as you're downing your quite rich and creamy coffee, you wonder if you really got non-fat after all? A Glamour blogger recently wondered if baristas ever mess with your coffee drinks. After all, it can't be easy to remember grande, skinny, mocha and all the other variations that can be ordered. One Glamour reader commented that in her experience, yes, it can happen. Maybe there's a long line and there's already whole milk perfectly steamed or maybe a certain milk must be used up before it goes bad. Whatever the reason, there's certainly a chance of not getting what you ordered and you might not know the difference.
Is coffee confusion a catastrophe? Of course not. Just know that when you stop for a specialty coffee, you're also probably getting some "specialty" calories. When you make it at home, you know for sure what you're getting -- and saving some coin in the process.
Speaking of coffee, see if you've got a clue about caffeine with this fun quiz from AOL Health.
Order online to whittle away at waist
Diet & Weight Loss, Reviews & Products, Nutrition & Supplements
Blame your supermarket for leading you into temptation -- all those bakery goods, chips, dips, and beverages galore are bound to cause the best of us to cave on our best diet intentions. That's why we should order our groceries online, says a new multi-university study.Researchers assigned 28 people to either a standard weight-loss program or a program with grocery delivery and found after eight weeks that online buyers had fewer fattening products and less total food in their cupboards.
The bottom line for your bottom line: Virtual shopping carts make it easier to stick to your list. They eliminate last-minute grocery store grabs too. So ditch the traditional cart and go online for for your food -- and for your body too.
Train smart in proper order

There's working hard, and then there's working smart. This basic tenet is also applicable to working out. You can spend three hours in the gym each day, performing a mixture of jaw-building exercises (AKA chatting everyone up) and haphazard exercises. Or, you can spend less than an hour in the gym each day and make every last minute count.
One of the best ways to ensure that you are working out smart is have order. Not order in the judge-banging-a-gavel sense of the word, but with respect to the order in which you perform your exercises. For starters, if your workout calls for both cardio and resistance training on the same day, the proper order would be to perform your weight training first. Otherwise, you leave yourself with little energy left to complete your weight training.

The sneaky ways restaurants wreck your diet
Diet & Weight Loss, Nutrition & Supplements
You may think you know what you're doing when it comes to eating healthy while eating out at restaurants, but do you really? Do steamed veggies and egg white omelets sounds like healthy fare? Because they aren't usually, at least not as much as you might think.Truth is restaurant food usually tastes as good as it does because chefs and cooks have any number of tricks up their sleeves to add fat. Fat makes food taste great, sadly, and so they put it in and on everything. Besides steamed veggies (which are often coated in oil before and after steaming) and egg-white omelets (which are cooked in loads of oil in the skillet), other high-fat restaurant shockers include seemingly plain toasted bread and buns, grilled meats, and even sushi.
To get the healthiest fare you have to both educate yourself and make a point to communicate with your servers and tell them exactly what you do, or don't, want (i.e. no butter or oil added at any step of the cooking process).
Be a better sister based on birth order
Healthy Relationships, Diet & Weight Loss, Motivation
Did you have a sister growing up? Did she make you crazy? Yeah, me too. My younger sister drove me absolutely nuts from when I was about 12 to approximately the age of 25. That's a long time to be angry at someone, but I did my best just like I feel she did her best to "borrow" my CDs and clothes and "forget" to give them back, until I had to seek them out and find them destroyed or smelly and balled up in the back of a closet.
Of course, that's just my side of the story. While some sisters get along like best friends, others have to work at having a positive relationship with their female siblings and often, it doesn't come until we're a little bit older, a little bit wiser and a lot more forgiving.
If you're currently trying to forge a relationship or even better, a friendship, with your sister this may help you out. It offers up some unique perspectives about why you might not be getting along with your sister, as well as advice on how to remedy things, but it's all based on birth order. Whether you're the oldest, middle or youngest sister, the article can help you understand how you feel as well as how your sister feels, and perhaps knowing where each other is coming from may help you get along better.
Ordering healthy off the menu isn't easy!
Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements
In a recent poll by the California Center for Public Health Advocacy it seems people have a harder time identifying which foods on a restaurant menu are the healthiest (lowest in calories, salt, and fat) than previously thought. The poll included only four multiple choice questions where participants were asked to choose the healthiest item from four popular restaurants: McDonalds, Macaroni Grill, Chilis, and Dennys. Surprisingly NONE of the 523 people asked got all four questions right!Doesn't this seem like an alarmingly high failure rate? I'm not going to say I would get them all right either (sounds like they weren't that obvious) but nobody did? Wow.
