Lipo in a Bottle - Can It Really Work?
So, you've got cellulite. Who doesn't? Even if you're thin and totally fit, it's entirely possible to have a bit of orange peel skin on your booty and thighs, especially as you age. And it's not easy to get rid of, that's for sure.
But, short of lipo, what's a girl to do if she wants to ditch the cottage cheese butt? Can any of the products out there actually get rid of cellulite, or are they essentially just pricey lotions?I had a chance to try out Elemis Body Sculpting Lip-Refining Serum and Elemis Body Sculpting Firming Cream, which are designed to work together to reduce cellulite. In fact, Elemis boasts that, in 2006, independent clinical trials showed that 96 percent of women experienced positive slimming results, and 92 percent of women found that the appearance of "orange peel" skin was reduced by up to six percent. And while that's all fine and good, what I really wanted to know was whether or not it would work for me!
Sparkle Naturally for the Holidays

What's one of the quickest, easiest ways you can think of to take your daily look from fair to festive? If you ask me, all you need is a little glitz!
Seriously, how many other times throughout the year do you get to wear anything sparkly? You know, once you pass the age of 14? While I might have a few eyeshadows with a bit of pearly shimmer, I don't reach for the sparkle too often, which makes it just that much more special when I do.I understand some people's aversion to sparkle -- could anything seem less natural than glitter? But the thing is, most grown-up beauty products these days don't have actual pieces of glitter (and if they do, put it back on the shelf and slowly back away), and a little bit of shimmer can go a long way toward enhancing your natural beauty. Especially when those products are nature-based to begin with.
Get Your Skin and Hair Ready for Winter

For many, winter is in full swing. The question is, have you taken care of your hair and skin as the weather changed? Temperatures dropped and with the heater going and everything, your house has probably gotten a little drier, meaning you need to take some extra precautions in order to stay your beautiful self!
For winter-friendly hair care, think about adding a weekly deep conditioning treatment, like Biolage's Ultra-Hydrating Balm. It smells yummy and helps get your hair back in shape. And, on a daily basis, think about a leave-in conditioner or detangler, like Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Tri-Wheat Conditioner -- I swear, my hair has never been as soft as when I've used that.
As far as skin goes, different products should be used for different parts. Of course, you should always use a lotion with SPF 15 or so, just for daily sun exposure, but you should also consider treating your face with something soothing -- after all, your skin is dealing with a lot of changes with winter weather. Renee Rouleau offers a lightweight Stress Recovery Lotion that works for all skin types, ridding you of redness and uneven color. VedaMama has a fabulous Scrumptious body cream that's ultra moisturizing (and all natural) for the rest of your body, but if you're looking to save some cash, I've always had good luck with Eucerin's line of products.

Q. Help Fitz! I'm mortified, because when I asked my husband what he wanted for Christmas today...he answered, "something sexy"! I could die! Fitz, I'm about 40 pounds overweight and could not squeeze into anything sexy at all. Christmas is about four weeks away. How do I lose weight fast? Marcy
A. Oh my Marcy! I think you're confused here. It sounds to me like you don't have to do a darn thing for that man of yours to think you're sexy. Since he specifically asked you for a sexy gift, he already wants you bad! Nice going. In fact, if I were you.....I'd be feeling really great about myself right now. Start thinking in terms of an actual gift.
Lingerie doesn't always have to be super slinky. How about a cutesy little elf outfit? A little velvet and fur are always racy this time of year. Maybe you can sign the two of you up for Latin dancing lessons? Hace Calor! A weekend away, a couples massage, body lotions, and adult toys obviously fill the sexy requirement as well.
If you want to lose weight Marcy, do it the right way. Change the habits that led you to gain 40 extra pounds in the first place. Start eating highly nutritious and lower calorie foods. Exercise daily as well. But, you don't need to do a thing for that man to think your sexy. He wants to have fun with you. Hooray! Let him! Just keep this in mind. Leary, uncomfortable, and miserable are not sexy qualities.....even on a supermodel. Confidence, energy and passion are always hot. I normally don't say this, but I wish you a very Sexy Christmas! Fitz
Q. What's up, Fitz? I'm hosting a small holiday party for a few close friends next week. I'm totally in to fitness and always eat really healthfully, but some of my friends do not. Am I going to seem like a total loser party pooper if I don't serve them crap food? I just don't want to bring that greasy, sugary junk into my home. Nonetheless serve it to my friends. Have any suggestions? Rey
Tips on looking great even when it's hot out
While the gorgeous summer weather took a turn for the worse where I live today (cool and rainy after a month of solid sunshine), until now it has been hot, hot, hot and I know it will heat up again pretty quick. On super warm and humid days, it can be really tough to look good.
You can do your best to stay pretty sitting on a patio, out at a music festival or whatever fun outdoor locale or event you may wind up at, but often no matter how much time you spend beautifying indoors beforehand, once you head out the door your hair frizzes, you sweat though your clothes and your make-up melts. Not a pretty picture.
If you want to look your best all summer long, try out some of the products listed here. They include a leave-in conditioner to tame pouffey, out-of-control curls, lotion and blotting tissue for overly-oily skin, peppermint foot spray for sweaty, stinky feet and eye make-up that won't run down your face. Just because it's hot out doesn't mean you can't look cool.

Fitness, Alternative & Green Health
The quest for the "fountain of youth" of age treatments to keep ourselves looking our youngest is not something new, but it's not going away anytime soon either. And although cosmetic surgery procedures are getting more and more advanced all the time, going under the knife isn't an option for many people for obvious reasons. So here's a list of some of the latest and greatest in non-surgical age-erasing treatments, ranging in price from free (quit smoking!) to upwards of $2500 (ArteFill injections). - Artefill is a wrinkle filler injection for small lines.
- N.V. Perricone, M.D. Cosmeceuticals' Advanced Eye Area Therapy is a topical treatment that will be available this fall at Sephora, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus.

Daily Fit Tip: Get a safe tan in all your nooks and crannies
Healthy Aging, Healthy Habits, Healthy Relationships, Natural Products, Womens Health, Healthy Products and Reviews, Daily Fit Tip, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Reviews & Products, Motivation, Alternative & Green Health, Men's Health
In this 'information generation' that we live in, it's still amazing to me that anyone at all would go out in the sun specifically to tan/burn or actually pay to ingest tanning rays in a tanning bed. It just seems weird! We all know that even moderate exposure to UVA and UVB rays can cause skin cancer. And even if one doesn't end up with a fatal case of melanoma, the little scars you could end up with all over your body from having suspicious moles removed is pretty stressful. Wrinkly or splotchy skin follow in the delightful side effects category as well.
But don't get me wrong. I love a bronze body now and then too. I'm just not willing to suffer the consequences of achieving it the old-fashioned way. If you haven't tried sunless tanning lotions or spray tanning booths, give them a shot. Even if you have tried them before and weren't satisfied, go back and try some different varieties. They've come along way since the days when sunless tanning left orange stinky skin. I prefer Mystic Tanning, which allows me to stand in the buff all alone and achieve a completely bronze body with no funny lines. None! No one else has to 'do my back' and the process takes a total of 25 seconds. It's great!
There are many other options though. Sunless tanning products are available in every drug store, grocery store, and upscale department store. Some are cheap, some are expensive, but all of them are well worth the price. Just imagine how much chemotherapy would cost you!
Hope or hype? It's a confusing weight loss world
Celebs & Entertainment, Reviews & Products
My outlook, when it comes to weight loss and beauty fads, is a kind of mix between realistic skepticism and dreamy hopefulness. It's no fun to go through life all pessimistic and negative, shooting down every new invention and medical breakthrough before it even has a chance, but on the flip side you don't want to fall victim to random fads and gimmicks either. But how to know when they're just gimmicks and when they might be the real thing? After all, if that tube of lotion really does melt fat right off I don't want to be the one missing out!Obviously there's no good answer to that question, except that if a product really does what it says it can then you'll definitely hear about it. But other than that, trying stuff out (and avoiding claims that seem to good to be true) is really the only way, and thankfully there are plenty of people out there willing to do that and share what they think. Case in point? This article from the Seattle Times, where three lotions claiming weight loss and firming properties were tested by real ladies, who share their thoughts and opinions to hopefully save us all some time and potential grief.
And let me encourage you all to please feel free to share your own experiences, so we can all know more of what works and what doesn't!
Get the "Dancing with the Stars" look

I'm watching Dancing with the Stars right now, and for the most part almost all of the contestants have one thing in common. Hot bodies! Now, I'm not usually one to shout 'hot body', but these people look outstanding. Good for them. As an athlete, I watch and think about the days I use to have hours to do nothing but train all day. I loved being so incredibly lean in athletic. Wouldn't it be nice if we were all paid to dance all day? Or swim, kickbox, run all day. Whatever. We'd all have HOT BODIES too!
Well reality doesn't usually allow us 8 hour training days, but we can still get that sexy look without our own show. Attaining a lean muscular physique requires, weight loss and strength training. Got it. We talk about that all the time. Now I'm going to address the other little 'bonus' things they do to look so great for the show.
- Self tanner. Go spray tan somewhere or do it at home. Tanning lotions are safe and give a nice brown color that will enhance the definition of the muscles you already have. *Tanning in the sun or tanning bed is dangerous, and will destroy your skin. Avoid that OK?
- Show off your assets! If you love your arms, go sleeveless. Got great legs? Show em off. These dancers cover and show their favorite parts strategically. You should do the same.
- Wear high heels. They do make your legs look longer, and force your calves into a constant flexed position. Very sexy looking!
- Actually do your hair and makeup. They don't doof around on this one. If you're a girl...go all out girlie! Guys..try gel.
- Fitted shirts and boot cut pants on the men. YUMMY!
