We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs - David Beckham wants kids to eat better

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements

David Beckham might have mad skills on the soccer field and good looks on the red carpet, but he's also a dad, and he knows how difficult it is to get children to eat healthfully, which is why he has agreed to be the face of a new line of frozen meals by Goldenballs.

The GO3 line of frozen ready-cook meals includes noodles, chicken wraps, and fish fingers, all packed full of vital nutrients like Omega-3 oils. And, according to Beckham's sons, they're full of flavor, too -- all three are fans of the food.

Becks wanted to create the types of food kids like to eat, but in a healthier way, in the hopes that his healthy and yummy meals will give obese kids a better option than fast food. He says: "... I think the range is a great way to help families take some small steps to be fit and healthy at affordable prices."

A frozen pasta guide for the busy eater

Nutrition & Supplements

I'm a busy person, so when I walk past the freezer aisle at the grocery store and see a bunch of cheesy, delectable, delicious-looking frozen lasagnas, I'm tempted to forgo the hassle of making one at home for the store-bough one. Sometimes they're not bad, but other times they come out a hard as hockey pucks. And it never looks like the picture on the box. Let's face it -- any type of pasta is better freshly made, otherwise the noodles are often hard, soggy or rubbery.

But I'm sure there must be some good ones out there for the busy eater. eDiets has rated the best and worse in frozen lasagnas, and they've added the nutritional information too so you can make a healthy choice. Give it a gander -- it's pretty eye-opening. Are there any that thy missed? What's your favourite or least favourite frozen entree?

The usual suspects: Frequent trans fat offenders

Healthy Habits, Diet & Weight Loss, Alternative & Green Health, Nutrition & Supplements

You'd have to be living under a rock to have not heard all the controversy surrounding Trans Fats. Yeah, they're bad for you. Really bad. We get it. What would be more helpful would be if someone told us exactly what to avoid -- in short, what are the worst trans fat offenders? We know to check the labels on stuff at the grocery store, but what about when we're eating out or eating on the run and nutritional information isn't available?

Here's help from AOL. The frequent trans fat-rich foods are (drum roll, please), Nutrition Bars, microwave popcorn, salad dressing, cereal, baked goods (especially muffins), deli meats, margarine, shortening, oils and frozen entrees -- think chicken and fish fingers, frozen pizza, meat pies, waffles and even seemingly-healthy vegetarian meals.
