How Fido Helps You Get Fit
Those of us with canine companions know that getting a dog is hard work -- but not only is it emotionally rewarding, having a dog helps you get fit too. Singer Fergie and her new husband Josh Duhamel know -- they're about to adopt a third pooch into their fur family. And obviously it's working for them. Yes, Fido helps you get fit, according to this article. And I believe it because here's the thing about having a dog -- you have to walk it. Which means you have to walk. Every day. I dog sat for a couple of months in the summer and it helped me get in even better shape because I had this gigantic ball of energy barrelling up and down hills that I had to follow.
I'm not saying you should get a dog just as an exercise device. But if a pooch is in the cards for you, don't fear the daily walks -- they'll do you a world of good.
Dita Von Teese Has an 18-Inch Waist
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Pilates and ballet are to thank for Dita's hot bod and her, can you believe it, 18-inch waist? I saw it with my own two eyes on TV. Sure enough, the dancer girl cinched that thing tight with a teeny-tiny corset. WOW.
Not that you want an 18-inch waist or anything, but you might consider pilates, ballet and a little Burlesque if you wish to shape yourself into something worthy of a wedding party performance. Or maybe you just want a nice shape. Hey, we hear ballet dancers are more fit than swimmers -- might be worth a try. We've got some good facts about pilates too. Burlesque? Well, we're not experts but we're sure Dita could teach you a thing or two.

Grammy-Award winning, "American Idol" country singer Carrie Underwood has definitely been idolized for her musical talents, but her healthy diet deserves praise too. Fergie is going to be a gorgeous bride, and ain't nothin' gonna get in her way. She and her fine fiance, Josh Duhamel, have finally set a wedding date (January 10!) and to get in shape, she's been working out Every. Single. Day.
Remember, Fergie had to gain 13 pounds for a movie role toward the end of last year, and then, just as it was time to start working off the weight, Thanksgiving reared it's calorie-laden head. Still, she stayed focused, and showed off her hard work at a New Year's Eve concert in Vegas. So how'd she take off the extra padding? Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements
Martha tells us over on Holidash that Fergie -- you know, the rock chic from the Black Eyed Peas and solo artist too -- has been talking food lately. No wonder. I mean, the girl just gained 13 pounds for the movie musical Nine. Clearly, she's got food -- and weight -- on her mind.Just as Fergie aims to take off her extra padding, Thanksgiving rolls around. A scary holiday for some dieters, Fergie has no fear. She just plans to be creative. Since turkey isn't fattening, she says she'll opt for the bird. She'll add just a bit of gravy and a big 'ol salad, and a healthy meal she'll have. A little bland, yes, but she'll spice it up with a small treat. Her favorite? Pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream.
How do you plan to eat healthy on Thanksgiving? And what sweet treat will you allow yourself?

Fergie - the singer is packing on pounds for movie role
Fergie, the rocking popstar who's known as much for her smokin' body as her successful singing career, is pursuing a new career ambition: Acting. And you know what actors tend to do -- they slim down or bulk up for various roles. It's the latter for Fergie -- the gorgeous singer is in the process of gaining weight for the upcoming movie musical Nine.According to Fergie, "I've actually gained 10 lbs! No, really - for the film, 'Nine'. Actually, 13 to be exact. I ate everything! Fish and chips. Everything fried - things I don't normally eat." But she's also looking forward to losing the weight in time for her wedding to Josh Duhamel, adding, "I have to give the bad food up now! So, yeah - I'm in that phase! Back to diet designs - my food delivery service!"
Gaining weight is always the easy part, huh? Good luck to her on the weight loss, though I don't think she needs it.

How does Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba stay so fit? Well, obviously dance plays some role, but she credits her upbringing with her healthy diet.Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly loves her curves, and she's not alone. Charlize Theron has also made it known that she thinks her curves belong right where they are, and that they make her feel "pretty hot."
Joining the "I love my curves" club is recent mama Christina Aguilera, who has worked hard to get her tummy flat and toned, but admits she's "okay with the booty and the boobs."
Why you won't find Fergie in a gym
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
It's the outdoors.
Fergie keeps her body toned by running on the beach, hiking, and climbing up and down the Santa Monica steps -- a steep stairwell above the ocean. Fergie works out in the fresh air every day. Not a bad idea, I say.

Celebrity moms Cate Blanchett and Halle Berry are out and about and looking amazing. Halle dished up the details on what she's doing to get her body back, but Cate, as usual, hasn't really made mention. Cate looked like she was right back to her pre-baby svelte figure this week at the Cannes Film Festival, and it's only been four weeks since she gave birth to her newest son. Do you think it's natural that her body bounced back so quickly, or does it have more to do with the pressure a 39-year-old actress faces in Hollywood?Valerie Bertinelli, who dropped weight last year alongside Kirstie Alley with Jenny Craig, is working hard to maintain the slim figure she achieved, but she's not complaining about it. She's continuing to follow the good habits that helped her lose weight, which means no snacking in front of the television and making sure she gets in 10,000 steps each day. With her healthy new figure came another bonus -- a rediscovery of her love of being in the water. Valerie has gotten back into watersports, like surfing. It's great to see her maintaining her weight and living a healthful life!
Sarah Ferguson admits that she continues to have negative body image issues on a daily basis, saying, "I think I'm fat, ugly, and disgusting -- that I'm unworthy and nobody likes me." The formal royal has an interesting way of dealing with these problems -- after her daily morning workout, she takes an ice bath and feels "invigorated" for the rest of the day. Hey, whatever works, right?
How does Fergie stay slim? Vinegar shots
There are some diet gimmicks that just don't seem worth it. Such as? Well, the Tapeworm diet comes to mind. And the baked bean diet. Not to mention using leeches to detox. Here's another one: Superstar singer Fergie (real name: Stacy Ferguson) says she does shots of vinegar. Why would she do something so heinous? Apparently, it helps cleanse the colon, reduce bloating and cut cravings. Still, is it worth it? I'm still not sure about that.
Here's what Fergie herself has to say about it:
"I do vinegar shots. It has to be organic apple cider, unfiltered. Two tablespoons. For some reason I've noticed a difference on my stomach."
What do you think of this? Does it work, or is it just another one of those silly diet gimmicks?

Salma Hayak is human -- she gained a lot of weight while pregnant due to gestational diabetes and hasn't lost it all just yet, but she's not too concerned. As for the weight gain, she said, "This is just what it takes for me to have this baby, and I really want it!" She might not be quite back to the nearly-impossibly hourglass figure she had before becoming pregnant, but she looks healthy and happy.OK! Magazine did a cover story on how Britney Spears lost 15 pounds -- find out how! Oh, wait ... she didn't. They just used a picture from five years ago to make it look that way. Now, honestly, if she loses weight or not isn't really the issue for Brit right now -- the girl seems to be making some progress mentally and emotionally, and it seems to me like that's where her focus should stay. Keep it up, girl!

- If she could tell her 20-something self one thing, it would be this: Sunscreen and eye cream!
- After leaving Wild Orchid, she vowed not to join another band but is so grateful she did.
- To make a hotel room feel like home, she brings lots of clothes and spreads the throughout the room.
