What Britney eats these days

What did you think of Britney's VMA performance this past week? She looks much better than last year's performance, anyway. And I guess it's no wonder when she's spending $22,000 on a makeover. But it hasn't all been easy for the pop princess -- she has been eating well and working hard to get her body back into shape. She recently told OK Magazine how she got back into shape:

  • Her Diet: "I have no sugar. I don't eat fruit or even fruit juice because of the sugar. I eat chicken and salmon and rice. I eat avocados. I'll have egg whites for breakfast and sometimes turkey burgers for lunch. I try to do just 1,200 calories a day ... It may sound like it's not much, but it's actually a lot of food if you eat the right things."
  • Her Workout: Britney does "A lot of cardio and weights." She works out five days a week -- Monday through Friday.

Eva Mendes eats crap, still looks good

She may be committed to fitness, but overall, she doesn't have the healthiest habits. Eva Mendes recently revealed that despite her svelte figure, she's not adamant about watching what she eats. Says the gorgeous starlet: "I'd shock you at how much I could eat. Any kind of dessert is fantastic. It's gross, but I also love cup noodles. I'll eat two at a time because the salt really does it for me. They're so cheap so they can't be that good for you, but they're yummy!"

Mendes, 34, adds that the only time she is careful about eating well and exercising is when she is filming: "f I have a shoot I'll work out more and watch what I eat, but if I don't I'll let myself go. I'm addicted to bread. I want it constantly so, right now, I'm letting myself have more of it but when I start my next movie I'll cut down."

Why does she rely on junk food? Mendes also admitted that she is a terrible cook -- so bad, in fact, that she's given up trying to prepare meals.

Mariska Hargitay has her muffin, eats it too

Mariska Hargitay loves chocolate muffins, and she doesn't need to feel one bit guilty about eating them. That's because they're healthy? What?

Yes, healthy chocolate muffins, made by The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel, who happens to be a natural-foods chef. Frankel uses oat flour, applesauce, and gluten-free chocolate chips and calls her treats Joyful Heart Fudge Chip Muffins -- she named them for the Law and Order: SVU star's Joyful Heart Foundation, which helps sexual assault survivors heal mind, body, and spirit.

Why Kim Kardashian won't diet

She says she wants to get her booty into shape for Dancing with the Stars. But Kim Kardashian will have to get a lot of exercise -- because she ain't gonna diet, according to a recent Interview with OK Magazine. 'I don't ever really diet because I don't want to be miserable. I love food,' says the 27-year-old star and self-proclaimed junk food addict, despite vowing to eat healthier in 2008.

And eat she does. At a recent photo shoot, she apparently wolfed down a taco, a cheeseburger, a hot dog, KFC and two donuts. She defends her eating habits by saying, 'I'm not your typical stick-skinny model. There are super-skinny girls doing ad campaigns and I don't think it's realistic. I don't like that [skinny] body image.'

I think it's great that she's showing the world that real women have curves, but her junk food-laden lunch menu is less than impressive. Yuck.
