Alba sheds baby weight, trainer tells all

Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements

I don't know how celebrities do it, how they drop loads of baby weight in no time at all. Wasn't so easy for me to melt away my 50 and then 42 pounds. Somehow, though, it seems effortless for people like Jessica Alba, whose trainer is sharing the secret to her 25-pound post-baby weight loss.

It took just two months for Alba to shed 25 pounds after giving birth to daughter Honor Marie. Two months to go from a size eight to a size four, thanks to a low-fat, low-carb diet. Trainer Ramona Braganza calls it her 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone plan and in addition to a healthy diet, Alba is sweating a lot. The 27-year-old is using an elliptical machine and treadmill at home and keeps a regular routine of core exercises and circuit training.

Six days a week Alba is working out. Maybe that's how she's made such great progress in a very short time. And why I didn't -- there's no way I could have devoted six days to hard-core fitness, with fussy newborns, sleepless nights, and my full-time mommy job. I'm good now, though -- seven years after I had my first baby. Patience, my friends. Patience.

Posh says diet pill story completely untrue

Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

I'm curious about how Victoria Beckham stays so skinny. I'm not alone. The media has long speculated about how Posh maintains her rail thin body. Well, it's not from diet pills, says the superstar, who will sue the U.K. magazine NOW over an article claiming she's hooked on them (and sex too).

Says the Brit's agent: "The accusation is dangerous, defamatory and blatantly untrue. Victoria takes her position as a role model to young women very seriously and is horrified by this hurtful, fabricated story. It is now with her lawyers."

Now's story claimed that the former Spice Girl's sister has been getting the pills for her in Britain and then shipping them to the U.S.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's wish: To be naked

Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

As she approaches turning 30, Jennifer Love Hewitt says there's one thing she would do if she could turn back the clock. She'd be naked more.

"I wish I had been nude from the time I was 12 until I was 28. I looked great!" says the Ghost Whisperer actress.

The 29-year-old had a rough year, defending her figure after being photographed in a bikini looking plumper than usual. She realizes now she should have appreciated what she had all those years ago, when she was 18 and complaining about feeling fat. If only she had realized how good she really looked, if only she'd known how her body would change and evolve and invite such public criticism.

Christina Applegate is cancer free

Womens Health, Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment, Alternative & Green Health, Nutrition & Supplements

Earlier this month Jacki told you that Christina Applegate, star of Samantha Who?, had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and now I have some great news to share -- the actress has announced that she is completely free of cancer, thanks to the early detection and the proper treatment.

Applegate, 36, has been getting annual mammograms since she turned 30 -- her mother is a breast cancer survivor, so she was aware of her risk. In an interview with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts (also a breast cancer survivor), she recalled her reaction to finding out she had breast cancer: "I was so mad and I -- I just remember I was -- I was just shaking. And then also immediately, I had to go into ... 'take-care-of-business mode,' ... I asked them, 'What do I do now? What -- what is it that I do? I get a doctor, I get a surgeon, I gen an oncologist? What do I do?"

What Applegate did was get all the help she needed, and she switched to a macrobiotic diet. And, obviously, it worked -- she's clear and told the world, "I'm clear. Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer."
