We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs - Ryan Reynolds is faster than he thought

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Ryan Reynolds at the New York City Marathon
I think Ryan Reynolds might be a bit of a liar. After insisting that he's not a runner and that he'd be lucky to cross the finish line in last weekend's New York City Marathon, Ryan completed the 26.2 mile run in three hours and 50 minutes, which comes out to around a 8:45 mile (if my math is correct).

At the finish line, he told reporters that he was pretty excited to still be standing and explained that seeing Michael J. Fox around mile 20 caused him "to gain about 15 pounds in goosebumps" and gave him the motivation to push through the last few miles. He ran as a part of Team Fox in honor of his father, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease and raised over $80,000 in contributions for the cause.

"I thought a lot about my father and Michael and the 500,000 other people afflicted with this awful disease in the United States alone," Ryan explained, adding, "I ran for those who can't."

This guy is every bit my idea of a Fit Celeb -- his mind, heart, and body are all in good shape. However, don't expect to see Ryan do it again any time soon. He has been quoted as saying, "I would sooner be prime minister of the moon than run another marathon."

Paula Radcliffe wins the New York City Marathon for the third time
Paula Radcliffe wins the New York City Marathon for the third time
Barbara Barker shares on Newsday.com that she went out and bought a pair of running shoes last year after Paula Radcliffe won the New York City Marathon. Remember Paula? The British woman who 10 months after giving birth ran her fit little heart out and clocked a time better than all other racers. Well, Barbara might want to get shopping again this year -- because Paula has done it again.

Sunday marked Paula's third New York win and while her other two (in 2003 and 2007) were close victories, this one was not. Paula, a two-time Olympian whose injuries kept her from winning both times, pulled away at mile 22 and won the race in two hours, 23 minutes, and 55 seconds.

Two words: I'm inspired. How about you?

Tara Reid's body isn't perfect - and that's OK

Celebs & Entertainment

Tara Reid feels good about her body, despite the hit she's been taking on the Internet Tara Reid admits her body has some flaws -- she's living with scars on her stomach from a 2004 botched liposuction, for one. But she's had quite enough of the Internet attacks, and she's telling everyone that she's fine with the body she's got. Now stop picking on her. Hey, we don't think she looks all that bad.

"I've been a media target for years now," says the 32-year-old. "It does hurt my feelings, but what can I do? I have to move on." Which is exactly what she's doing.

She may have battle scars and her abs may be uneven, but that doesn't stop Tara from feeling good about herself. Nope, the star keeps busy with her clothing line Mantra. Why the name mantra? Because "red is for love, green for luck, white for peace – everything gives you a mantra of the day," Tara says. "I made this line about feeling good about yourself."

Carnie Wilson - how she dropped the pounds THIS time

Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

Carnie WilsonCarnie Wilson has seen extreme ups and down in terms of her weight and other aspects of her life -- earlier this year, Carnie stated that she'd hit "rock bottom" when she weighed in at 208 pounds. Not only was she unhappy with how she looked and felt, but she wanted to try getting pregnant again (she and her husband already have a three-year-old daughter, Lola) and knew it wasn't healthy to do so until she'd lost 40 or 50 pounds.

And now, she has -- this time, through diet and exercise rather than surgery.

Carnie, who is now down to a healthy 160 pounds, shared a few of her best tips and tricks with Momlogic, talking about how she stayed motivated and on track and how she fought cravings. And, she's serving up advice, too, encouraging people not to diet, but rather, to improve eating habits and add some exercise to be healthy.

Lindsay Lohan is too thin - Sam's to blame, says friends

Celebs & Entertainment

These days, it's seems Lindsay Lohan is looking better than she has over the past few years -- she looks happy and together, often alongside girlfriend Samantha Ronson. But she also looks remarkably thinner -- not that the starlet was ever big or anything, but these days, it seems she could turn sideways and disappear. We could give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that she's 'naturally thin' and her weight loss is down to a healthy diet and exercise, but where's the fun in that? Plus, Lindsay's friends are saying otherwise.

According to FemaleFirst.co.uk, a source close to the actress says, "She is thinner than ever and we are concerned she is taking it too far. Lindsay's weight has always fluctuated, but since falling in love with Samantha Ronson -- who is naturally very slim -- Lindsay seems desperate to lose more weight."

What do you think? Is Lindsay's weight loss healthy?
