We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs Weekly Roundup, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
Denise Richards might not look heavy to most of us, but she certainly thinks she needs to lose a few pounds. And will she do it by eating sensibly and working out -- you know, ways that will set a good example for her daughters? Oh hell no!In celebrity news that's a little more down to earth, Daisy Fuentes is in a really good place, and comfortable with her body. Of course, she has a fabulous body, so that might be part of it, but still, she has a very healthy outlook on aging from which many of us could take a cue.
Another celebrity with a fabulous figure is Mariah Carey. She has no problem showing it off, obviously, but how did she get it?
Crazy diet plans
Late the other night, I was watching a re-run of Denise Richard's show on TV. I caught the episode Jacki told us about -- where Denise was discussing the lemonade diet with her friends. The lemonade diet isn't the only ridiculous plan out there. DivineCaroline counts down what they consider to be the top 10 most ridiculous diets out there. Some of their picks include the Cookie Diet, the Subway Diet, the Cabbage Soup Diet, and the Apple Cider Vinegar Diet.
Personally, I think that if you want to lose weight you should go old school. Eat healthfully, exercise, and get plenty of rest. There's a reason that advice like that has been around for years and years -- it works. It may take time to lose weight, but in the long run that's the best way to do it. Fads come and go. They rarely have lasting power and while many of them give you quick results, it's often difficult to maintain the loss.

Denise Richards aims to take off a few
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Denise Richards, star of her own reality show It's Complicated, says she's put on a few pounds. You might not be able to tell. I certainly can't. But the high-profile actress, mom, and ex of Charlie Sheen wants to drop a few before heading to Hawaii with her sister and a few friends. Problem is, she's nervous about fitting into a swim suit. And she's worried the paparazzi will snap photos and call her a fat a**. What' a girl to do?
Take drastic measures, that's what.
According to a celebrity gossip TV show (can't remember which one), Richards is embracing the latest diet cleanse sweeping Hollywood. It's all about lemons, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup. Called the Master Cleanse or Lemonade Diet, this technique for losing weight is essentially a 10-day fast. Doesn't sound so fun to me. To Richards either, who says she might rather be fat than drink this stuff. Will she do it? Tune in to That's Complicated on E! tomorrow at 10 PM, EST to find out. In the meantime, check out this video, all about the Master Cleanse from a dietitian's point of view.

Adrian Grenier sprints and lets the paparazzi know that it's "a non-event." I wonder if the girls with him think it's a non-event ... Julianne Moore told OK magazine that she's "hungry all the time. All actresses are hungry all the time." That seems like quite the generalization, especially considering Sarah Jessica Parker recently came out saying that she eats everything. Who do you believe? SJP might have a ridiculously high metabolism, but I think it's more likely (and really unfortunate) that Julianne probably speaks for more of Hollywood.
Denise Richards won't talk weight with kids
Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Motivation, Nutrition & Supplements
Shape magazine cover girl Denise Richards tells readers in May that she won't ever complain about her weight in front of her two daughters.
"I'll never talk about weight around them," the actress says. "And they'll never hear me say, 'Mommy's feeling fat today.' That kind of attitude just makes young girls grow up to be dissatisfied with their bodies."
Richards will let her girls know how important it is to be fit, though. Being a positive role model for Sam, 4, and Lola, 2, is a priority.
"I exercise almost every day. The girls usually play in the workout room with me, so they're learning by example."

How'd they do it? Celeb Moms and their slim-down secrets
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
I've never had a baby but since I have enough trouble getting rid of that extra 10 pounds I gained on my trip to Greece (Oh, gyros, you are pure, tasty evil), I can only imagine how hard it would be to lose an extra 30 pounds. How do moms do it?
AOL Body has put together the slimming secrets of some top celebrity moms. Among them: Heidi Klum, who used a personal trainer and the 3-Hor Diet; Kate Winslet used some British weightloss plan called the Facial Analysis Diet (umm, have to look that one up!); Reese Witherspoon ate healthfully and did yoga; Denise Richards used the Zone; and Kate Hudson went high-protein, low-carb.
