Bar Refaeli Ate All the Time During Her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Photoshoot

Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

SI swimsuit coverYou'd think that the models in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition would really watch what they eat before the photoshoot. Not so, says cover model Bar Refaeli. "They tell you 'you better not go on a diet before the shoot'. Girls tend to think, 'Oh my God, I have to be in swimwear, I have to look amazing'. They just say, 'You better not, girl!' And they just let you eat all the time during the photo shoot. They love that; they love their girls healthy."

But Refaeli doesn't get her fit body without some effort. Refaeli sticks to a healthy diet and she exercises regularly. She loves horseback riding and has been riding since she was just a little girl. Refaeli gets her kicking legs by practicing Krav Maga, an Israeli form of martial arts.

Cheryl Tiegs Knows Beauty - What Motivated Her to Lose 50 Pounds?

Celebrity Fitzness Report, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

cheryl tiegsCurious to know how celebrities squeeze fitness into their daily lives? Want to know the secrets of the stars? Bi-weekly our That's Fit fitness expert Fitz sits down with the celebs we want to know more about, and digs out their great and not-so-great methods to staying healthy.

As a three-time Sports Illustrated cover model and world famous supermodel, Cheryl Tiegs knows quite a bit about being beautiful. I suppose this makes her a perfect fit for her role as judge on ABC's new reality show True Beauty, which debuts this Monday, January 5 at 10 PM. Instead of really judging the unsuspecting contestants on their physical beauty, though, Cheryl and her cohorts will be removing folks who act really ugly. That should be fun to watch.

In the gallery below, you'll find more about the show and Cheryl's beauty tricks. You just might learn something new about Cheryl Tiegs -- for example, did you know she once gained a good deal of weight? Click below for more!

Kelly Ripa gets ripped with these 6 moves

Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Kelly Ripa Kelly Ripa looks pretty darn great. Kelly's fit frame has graced the cover of not one, but two fitness magazines. (Though I don't understand why Shape magazine air-brushed Kelly's cute outie belly-button and made it an innie.)

Now, you can try these six moves that help keep Kelly in shape:

  • Triceps can-can. Like Kelly, this move is a little quirky and a lot of fun. But it definitely works your triceps, quads, and abs, too.
  • Leg raise. You'll need a counter or tall chair for balance with this move, which works your butt and outer thighs.
  • Thigh dancing. Definitely unusual, Kelly swears this move works her quads, butt, and abs. We've even got her on video doing this move.
  • Pretzel. You'll need some balance and flexibility to do this move, which works your butt, thighs, and abs.
  • Squat with ball squeeze. If, like Kelly Ripa, you're a parent, you probably have more than your fair share of sports balls around the house. Put one of them to use with this move that works your legs, butt, and inner thighs.
  • Rolling crunch. Put a new twist on the standard crunch with this move.

Justin Timberlake hits the links

Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Justin Timberlake is featured on the cover of a magazine, but it's not the celebrity-type magazine you'd expect. Instead, Timberlake is on the cover of Golf Digest.

Timberlake took up golf about six years ago when he played in the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Since then, the singer and actor has become quite involved. He purchased a course in his hometown of Memphis to prevent it being turned into a housing development. More recently, he's hosting a PGA-tour event (debuting in October) called the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

Timberlake admits he doesn't spend as much time on the links as he would like. How about you? Are you taking advantage of fall's beautiful weather and going golfing? Believe it or not, it can be a healthful way to spend an afternoon.

The View star bares her bikini bod

Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements

Lean protein. Vegetables. Nuts. A wise trio to incorporate into your diet if you're looking to shed a few pounds and complement a solid fitness routine. It's the exact combo used by The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck as she clawed back after having baby number two.

It's been six months since Hasselbeck had her second child. And now her bikini-clad body is up for grabs on newsstands everywhere as she graces the cover of the June 2008 Fitness magazine -- where she appears to be in tip-top shape yet says she's not so concerned about the numbers on her scale.

"Body image has nothing to do with scale numbers, it's how you feel inside," says Hasselbeck, who turns 31 this month. This is the first time I've felt free from that, because I am working out in a way where I feel so strong that there's no room for those doubts."

Hasselbeck worked out for six weeks to prep for her cover gig. She ran, strength trained, and did ab work twice a week. Her goal was never to lose weight. She just wanted to eat healthier and have more energy.

Miley Cyrus embarrassed by near nudity

Celebs & Entertainment

Miley Cyrus, photographed by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz, graces the cover of the new Vanity Fair magazine. Cyrus might consider this an honor, a privilege, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Mostly, though, the 15-year-old singing and acting sensation considers it an embarrassment.

Appearing to be topless, covered in only a blanket, Cyrus says of the photo: "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."

Defending the star is The Disney Channel, home of Cyrus' Hannah Montana show. Disney folks say a situation was created to deliberately manipulate this young girl in order to sell magazines. Vanity Fair spokespeople say this isn't so and report that parents were on the set all day and everyone saw the digital photo before it was published. A source close to the Cyrus family says "nope," the parents left before the photograph was taken.

What's your take on the Cyrus cover shot?

Media critiques Jennifer Love Hewitt again

Celebrities and Entertainment, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Motivation

Ghost Whisperer actress Jennifer Love Hewitt can't catch a break. First, the media scrutinized her bikini body and blamed her for putting on too much weight. Now a new rumor has surfaced: Jennifer Love Hewitt is pregnant.

"She is not pregnant," says the star's rep, despite reports to the contrary.

Love Hewitt was spotted recently wearing flowing, baby doll styles while running errands and while attending last weekend's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. That's when baby rumors began to flow.

It seems Love Hewitt can't bare her body or cover it up without being scrutinized. Fortunately, the actress seems happy with her body on all occasions.
