Cheryl Cole Bulks Up To Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro
She might be alarmingly slim, but she's not letting her tiny frame keep her from doing something physically and mentally gruelling -- Cheryl Cole has signed up for a 10-day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro. And how's she training for it? By eating cakes, donuts and other junk food. According to Fit Celeb, "While most girls would dread the thought of getting bigger, Cheryl can't wait to spoil herself with her favourite treats. She's really looking forward to it as she knows she needs to be fit as possible." For the rest of us, getting in shape means staying away from junk food, but to each her own, I guess ...
Luckily she does know that it's not all cake and cookies: "I don't know about anybody else but I've got blisters on every toe of both feet. We are used to getting in good shape when we are on tour. The dancing really keeps us fit but this is totally different," says Cole, adding that she had just completed a 12-mile walk on the treadmill.
Cheryl Cole's Extreme Diet
British glam girl and pop star Cheryl Cole recently resolved to gain weight in the new year after her stick-thin frame caused an outcry from her fans. But Cole, 25, admits to reporters that things weren't always this way -- the singer has done her fair share of dieting. Her approach of choice? She goes low carb with the Atkin's diet when her weight gets a bit out of control. Keep in mind that, for Cole, being heavy means having a 29-inch waist. Good Lord. "In the first year of Girls Aloud, I went up to a 29in waist. I remember crying because I was 133lbs when I'm only 5ft 3in," she says. "Jennifer Aniston was doing the Atkins diet at the time and I thought I'd give it a try. I remember I ate the same thing -- chicken in cream sauce with a couple of carrots -- every night for weeks. I felt just horrible, but I was on this mission."
Cheryl, honey, 133 lbs is not worth crying over.
Cheryl Cole Resolves to Gain Weight in the New Year
Most people will be resolving to lose a few pounds come January 1st. But for teeny tiny British celeb Cheryl Cole, January 1st will mark a different kind of diet plan -- to gain weight. Recently, thousands of fans expressed concern over her bony frame after an appearance on hit TV show The X Factor, and it was a wake-up call for the singing superstar. "Cheryl was watching the show and she thought she looked terrible - too unhealthy," says a source close to Cheryl, 25. "She's a [British] size 6-8 and she wants to get to a size 8-10, but she doesn't want to eat junk to put it on, she wants to do it as healthily as possible. She's hiring a dietician and she's going to be eating lots of carbs such as wholemeal bread, rice and potatoes."
Why does this thought never occur to American celebs? Methinks Cheryl and Nicole Ritchie should have a heart-to-heart.
