Here at That's Fit, we're constantly telling you what we think about things, but sometimes it's nice to know what you think. So from time to time, we'll ask you a question. Don't be afraid to speak up -- we love feedback.

From Valerie Bertinelli's bikini body, to Kathy Ireland's weight loss, to Lisa Rinna's Playboy cover, celebrity fitness stories swirl around the Internet daily. I know that I get inspired when I see Michelle Obama's toned arms and, like most of my That's Fit co-workers, I'm a big fan of Kate Winslet's refreshingly honest and positive view on nutrition and fitness. But I wonder how you feel about celebrity fitness stories?

Mischa Barton is Obsessed with Pilates

Celebs & Entertainment

Mischa bartonMischa Barton is one of those trendy celebs who the tabloids love to watch for any sort of weight gain or loss, with the most recent judgement being that she is absolutely too thin to be healthy. But despite being scary skinny, the star is quick to admit that it's not because she's living on a diet of drugs and alcohol, it's because she's obsessed with exercise -- pilates in particular. "For me, it's all about Pilates recently. I'm obsessed with Pilates. I think it's so fun," she recently admitted.

OK, fair enough. Pilates is a great workout -- but from my experiences, it should lead to toned, not bony. Nonetheless, she doesn't want us to worry about her. "I don't do any crash diets," she told "OK" USA, adding "I do more cardio because I work long hours. Jogging, running - stuff like that's really good before you do a film so you have more energy."

What Defines Sexy?

Celebs & Entertainment, Reviews & Products, Motivation

stilettosOur society is funny. Thin celebrities are bashed for being thin, yet stars who gain more than five "extra" pounds are criticized for being overweight. What the hell?

I look around my neighborhood and see lots of happy people of all different shapes and sizes, and I imagine (not in a creepy lewd and lascivious way) that many of those people are having sex! You know ... they "get busy" and "do the deed." So my thought process in the long run is that sexy is really not so much about looking like a Calvin Klein model, but more about the way we act and feel.

So what makes you feel sexy? Lots of girls seem to strut their stuff in lingerie, stilettos or shiny shirts. Guys work the boot cut jeans or Under Armour T's, I suppose. Me? I feel best in my black cowboy boots. Am I a western girl at all? Not really. But those boots make me feel just a tad more powerful and as you'll read next ... I love power.

Carol Burnett - Her Top 4 Smart and Funny Fitness Tips

Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Reviews & Products

carol burnettThe secret to thin legs. How to plump up the appearance of a flat fanny. How to stay trim. What exercise does and doesn't count. Carol Burnett shared superb advice on all these topics.

I just saw the legendary funny woman last night and was fortunate enough to ask her a couple of questions. At 73 years young, she really does have a body most women would dream of at that age (including me). In fact, she's always had an amazing physique; just check out her old pics from The Carol Burnett Show!

Burnett is starring in Laughter and Reflection with Carol Burnett: A Conversation with Carol Where the Audience Asks the Questions and besides answering my questions, she answered some from the audience as well.

On the topic of how she keeps her legs so thin: "I shave off loads of excess hair each day."

-The ape woman population will benefit greatly from doing this.

Duran Duran Star John Taylor is Now Du-Running

Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

john tylerDuran Duran ruled the 80's. In fact, they still kind of rule. Selling out arenas around the world isn't too shabby in anyone's book.

Even though he's still performing with his legendary band, John Taylor has reformed from his very typical rock star ways of the past, and is now a genuine fitness fiend. We spoke today, and I was delighted to hear about his new lifestyle. John told me that he gave up drinking and drugs years ago and pays a lot of attention to his health. He actually said he considers himself a runner! So cute, he called himself the "slackest runner in the world" but knows he needs that outlet because of the mental relief it provides. To quote John, he says it "suits my psychology."

When we see rock stars living the party life, it's easy to wonder what effects it will have on their futures. Some simply don't survive the lifestyle. But John did, and it's wonderful to see the man so many people adore as he lives a truly healthy life. He does struggle a bit with something, though.

Eric Stoltz - The Actor Chooses His Last Meal on Death Row

Celebrity Fitzness Report, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements

Actor Eric Stoltz and I just had one of the most interesting and funniest conversations I've had in a long time. He's presently guest starring on ABC's hit show Grey's Anatomy as a Death Row serial killer. Charming. While interviewing my guests for Celebrity Fitzness Report, we always talk fitness, but we also talk about the projects each celebrity is working on at the moment.

So first Eric and I talk fitness. Eric is a guy who works out not because he's desperate to get big, he just really wants to be healthy and fit. He makes a habit of doing cardio and strength training on alternating days. Great! He's also a vegetarian who loves a healthy meal of pasta with eggplant and mushrooms.

Now to the serial killer/last meal part. I asked Eric what his favorite not-so-healthy food is, and he told me he loves pizza. So, going back to his role on Grey's Anatomy, I asked him if pizza is what he'd choose for his last meal.

Celebrity Fitzness Report, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

cheryl tiegsCurious to know how celebrities squeeze fitness into their daily lives? Want to know the secrets of the stars? Bi-weekly our That's Fit fitness expert Fitz sits down with the celebs we want to know more about, and digs out their great and not-so-great methods to staying healthy.

As a three-time Sports Illustrated cover model and world famous supermodel, Cheryl Tiegs knows quite a bit about being beautiful. I suppose this makes her a perfect fit for her role as judge on ABC's new reality show True Beauty, which debuts this Monday, January 5 at 10 PM. Instead of really judging the unsuspecting contestants on their physical beauty, though, Cheryl and her cohorts will be removing folks who act really ugly. That should be fun to watch.

In the gallery below, you'll find more about the show and Cheryl's beauty tricks. You just might learn something new about Cheryl Tiegs -- for example, did you know she once gained a good deal of weight? Click below for more!

So Not Hot Celebs - These 11 Should Make a Fitness Resolution

Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

All of us at That's Fit love to gawk at fit celebs. But there are quite a few celebrities who don't fall into the "fit" category. Some have obviously never embraced fitness. Others have danced on the fitness yo-yo, giving us sneak peeks at how great they can look, only to fall back into bad habits. And some have let their former hotness fade under layers of fat.

But we think 2009 can be their year. This year, we hope those super-skinny celebs put on a few healthy pounds, that new celebrity moms lose the baby weight in a healthful manner and that out-of-shape celebs make fitness their New Year's resolution.

lo bosworthThe Hills season finale on December 22 is quickly approaching on MTV, and I was able to catch up with reality star Lo Bosworth for a quick interview. To find out how she stays in shape and what her "realities" are while starring on this hit show, read on.

Fitz: How'd you end up on The Hills? What goes in to that?

Lo: Well, I started out on Laguna Beach back in high school. Then I went away to college. I was at UCSB and I transferred to UCLA my junior year. That was when Lauren and I were able to spend more time together. So I started going out a little bit and sometimes they would be filming. And then at some point, the producers just asked me to re-join the show.

Fitz: You're on a reality show but not necessarily a "performer" in Hollywood. You're supposed to be "real," but do you feel tons of pressure to be thin, beautiful and well dressed all the time?

Yo-Yo diets: Which celebs are the worst offenders?

Celebs & Entertainment

You know that we love to gawk at fit celebs -- but we also love to gawk at the non-fit ones. You know, the ones who stumble from scary skinny to curvaceous and all the way back again. Our friends over at AOL Health recently compiled a list of celebs who are guilty of riding the yo-yo rollercoaster of weight loss. Here are some of the top offenders:

  • Nicole Ritchie. In The Simple Life, she was sweet. Prior to daughter Harlow's birth, she was skeletal. Now she's somewhere in between -- let's hope she stays that way.
  • Matthew Perry. Yes, it was all down to drugs, but that didn't stop Perry's alarming weight loss to raise a few eyebrows.
  • Christian Bale. Already-slim Bale reportedly lost 63 pounds to play a heroin addict. Yikes - that cannot be healthy.
  • Beyonce Knowles. The bootylicious star resorted to drastic measures -- the lemonade diet -- to slim down for a role.

Check out AOL Health for more scary slimdowns.

Is Renee Zellweger gaining weight to meet a man?

Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

A few years ago, Renée Zellweger notoriously gained weight to play unlucky-in-love Bridget Jones. The result? The movie was a hit, and Bridget ultimately found her prince charming. Now, it seems Zellweger is hoping life will imitate art? According to sources, she's gaining weight in a bid to meet a man before she turns 40 in a few months.

Says the article: "Renée was worried her slim frame made her look gaunt, sickly and, worst of all, old. She is going to be 40 in six months and doesn't want to be single then. Renée used to eat only fresh fruit for breakfast, but now she allows herself the odd doughnut or bagel with cream cheese. Instead of working out five or six times a week, Renée isn't freaking out if she misses a session. She was so focused on maintaining a killer body that she was neglecting other aspects of her life."

Would you gain weight for a man? Should you? And since when is a bagel and cream cheese considered a major indulgence?

Jennifer Hudson: It's ok to skip the gym

Celebs & Entertainment

Jennifer Hudson, the breakout star of Dreamgirls and Sex and the City, is an inspiration to all of us real girls who have curves. But is she going to pull a Nicole Richie and suddenly get all scary skinny on us? Not likely, says Hudson in the recent issue of OK Magazine: "I eat as best as I can to maintain my thickness. I don't want to be too thin, so it's OK not to work out every once in awhile if you want to maintain this," says the actress.

On her healthy habits, she adds, "Moving around a lot is enough exercise, so I eat right ... Normally I eat a little trail mix in the morning, and a salad at lunch, and chicken and vegetables for dinner. What I cannot fight is chocolate chip cookies. It always wins."

It certainly sounds like she has a healthy body image. Your thoughts?

Celebrity worship is good for your health!

Celebs & Entertainment, Motivation

Glued to We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs and TMZ? Count US Weekly and People among your guilty pleasures? Don't feel ashamed -- whether you're following the lives of pop stars, athletes or politicians, I think everyone has had their own case of 'celebrity worship.'

And believe it or not, there's nothing wrong with that. A recent study in Time Magazine showed that celebrity crushes can be good for your mental health, and can even boost your own self-esteem. Still, that's provided the crush doesn't go too far (stalking is so not cool,) or replace real relationships in one's life (hello, creepy!)

So go ahead and worship someone -- bonus points if you take inspiration from a fit celeb like Michael Phelps or Jennifer Lopez.
