Is Renee Zellweger gaining weight to meet a man?
Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
A few years ago, Renée Zellweger notoriously gained weight to play unlucky-in-love Bridget Jones. The result? The movie was a hit, and Bridget ultimately found her prince charming. Now, it seems Zellweger is hoping life will imitate art? According to sources, she's gaining weight in a bid to meet a man before she turns 40 in a few months.
Says the article: "Renée was worried her slim frame made her look gaunt, sickly and, worst of all, old. She is going to be 40 in six months and doesn't want to be single then. Renée used to eat only fresh fruit for breakfast, but now she allows herself the odd doughnut or bagel with cream cheese. Instead of working out five or six times a week, Renée isn't freaking out if she misses a session. She was so focused on maintaining a killer body that she was neglecting other aspects of her life."
Would you gain weight for a man? Should you? And since when is a bagel and cream cheese considered a major indulgence?
Renee Zellweger: Afraid for her health if there's a Bridget Jones 3
Renee Zellweger is most recognizable for her roles in the smash hits Bridget Jones' Diary and its sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. But if given the chance, would she reprise the role for a third time to play the portly single girl in a third installment of the movie? The answer is a definite maybe. Why just maybe? Zellweger is concerned about her yo-yoing weight, after she famously piled on pounds to play Bridget before. According to The Daily Mail, she says, "Can I just tell yu my body is whacked by the time we finish one of those. Did you see that movie about fast food, Supersize Me? "I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking about how bad this is for you, long term, putting on that much weight in short periods of time and they're all saying, 'You must stop this now or you're going to die'."
Renee Zellweger: Better as Bridget?
The Skinny Website recently published some photos of Renee Zellweger alongside the words 'skeleton', and I have to admit, despite the baggy dress she's wearing, she does look quite skinny. But if you comb the archives for pictures of her a few years ago, around the time when Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason was coming out, she looked quite healthy -- not obese or overweight, mind you. What do you think? Do you prefer a bony Renee, or did you fancy her with a little bit of extra padding? I'm a fan of Bridget Renee, quite frankly, but maybe that's because the character seems more vibrant and fun than the actress -- according to her pictures, at least.
