When Your Partner Gains Weight - Do You Tell?
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Smart men know that the answer to the question "Does this make me look fat?" is never, ever "yes." Still, let's say the healthy and fit person you're dating or married to suddenly starts to pack on the pounds. Is it ever acceptable to tell your loved ones they're getting fat?
I ask because of this clip from Tyra. Mr. I-Just-Want-You-To-Be-Healthy tries to convince his girl that he loves her for who she is, he just wants her to lose weight so she'll quit whining about it. But his true motives are revealed when he basically tells her if she doesn't lose weight, he'll be forced to cheat on her.
Niiiice.
Still, let's say you're a more conscientious valentine, the kind who really is just concerned about your lover's health. Is a heart-to-heart talk ever acceptable ... or even helpful? Or is it better to health up your own habits and hope that your love will join you in your efforts? What do you think?
Fifty Cent - Vitamin Water Helped Him Get Fit, Pad His Wallet
Rapper Fifty Cent recently appeared on The Tyra Banks Show to talk about, among other things, weight loss and his recent deal with Vitamin Water to become a spokesperson. According to Fit Celeb, the rapper claims that weight gain on the road caused him to turn to Vitamin Water for help slimming down (yeah, a $400 million paycheck probably had nothing to do with it ... ).Here's what 'Fitty' had to say: "I was training for my presentation for The Massacre album. I was traveling and I was eating a lot of fast food so I kind of got a little heavy. I was trying to find a substitute for soda and I came across it [vitamin water] actually in a gym in Los Angeles ... It just worked out ... I did pretty good."
Vitamin Water is definitely better for you than soda, but what's wrong with plain water? What do you think about Vitamin Water?
Suddenly Slimmer: It's a wrap
Celebrities and Entertainment, Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
The stars are doing it and you could too -- slim down that is, and in only one hour's time. All it takes is a mineral body wrap with the power to trim six to 20 inches off your hot bod. Tyra is talking about it. Ellen is too. Here's what they're saying.Tyra says it's amazing. She lost 9.2 inches overall after being wrapped from head to two, jumping on a trampoline, and then measuring up all her parts. She had not one problem getting into a dress that was once too snug and realized it wasn't that she was eating better -- it was the wrap. Ellen didn't reveal her grand total but she did say wrapping herself up isn't something she'd normally do, let alone show. But she did it. And you can see it here. Sexy, she calls it. Simply sexy. See what you think.
Suddenly Slimmer is the name of the Hollywood salon where these celebrities were wrapped up like mummies. With other locations across the country, this spot -- it guarantees you'll see results on your very first visit -- might strike your fancy. Give it a peek and see what you think.
Tyra Banks bares her soul on weighty issue
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Tyra Banks has a few words for those recently poking fun at her weight. "Kiss my fat a--," she says. She says a whole lot more to her studio audience in this video clip.Wearing the same swimsuit that caused the media to comment on her weight, Banks shows fans of The Tyra Banks Show how a camera angle or body stance can manipulate the way weight is portrayed in photographs.
On her critics, the 33-year-old says: "Luckily, I'm strong enough and I have a good enough support system. I love my Mama, and she has helped me to be a strong woman so I can overcome these kinds of attacks, but if I had a lower self-esteem, I would probably be starving myself right now. That's exactly what is happening to other women all over this country."
Banks makes no secret of the fact that she's put on 30 pounds since her runway days. She also makes no secret of this fact: "I still feel hot."
