Heidi Klum Hits The Runway After Baby

The plan was for Klum to just host the show. "You definitely have less pressure hosting, when you don't shake your booty in front of millions of people around the world," she told People Magazine earlier this week. But those plans changed when the 36-year-old mother of four wowed the crowd in a surprise walk down the runway.
Looking sexier than ever, Klum was all smiles as she sported a low-cut corset and full skirt. "I'm definitely one of the heaviest of the bunch of the 30 girls in the show. And I still have 20 pounds to go," she said, but the screaming audience didn't seem to mind -- or even notice.
The former Victoria Secret's model and current "Project Runway" host reportedly gained 45 pounds with this pregnancy, but has been working with a trainer at her home in L.A. to regain her famous figure. Her workouts include walking and some moves with a medicine ball, yet she's careful not to overdo it and she's not stressing over her post-baby figure. "I embrace that I have more curves right now."
With a full schedule that includes cooking meals for a family of six including singer-husband, Seal, Klum admits she has little time to relax these days. But that doesn't seem to stop this supermodel turned supermom from looking hotter than ever!

Heidi Klum Isn't Afraid to Bare It All
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Of course, having a body like Klum's certainly helps with confidence. And Klum doesn't come across her great figure without effort. "You have to work out to be sexy," says Klum. "People always ask me how I stay in shape," continues Klum. "What really makes me do it is because I have a hot man waiting at home for me."
Motivation certainly is important for exercise. While the rest of us may not have Seal waiting at home, we all need motivation, too. What inspires you to exercise?
Victoria's Secret Angels Actually Eat!
Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

The Victoria's Secret Angels took to the runway again last weekend, and, as always, the models looked completely perfect. The things that were supposed to be firm were firm, and the areas that needed to be full were full. So how do they get that way (other than fabulous genes)? E! was backstage to steal the Angels' secrets.
For one thing, they eat. However, as you no doubt guessed, they're pretty careful about what they munch on. Model Miranda Kerr munched on mixed greens and scrambled eggs backstage before the show, while Alessandria Ambrosia, who just gave birth two months ago, dished on how she got her body back post-baby. "I was doing 45 minutes of cardio everyday and working out with a trainer. I couldn't have the crazy diets ... because I was breastfeeding."
Adriana Lima also followed a strict training schedule for the month leading up to the runway show, working out two hours a day and cutting out carbs and sugar while loading up on protein. She was looking forward to the show being over, though, saying she would indulge in dessert right away. "... [F]orget about champagne. The first thing I will have is chocolate cake!"
Kids keep Klum in tip-top shape
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
Model extraordinaire and Project Runway pioneer Heidi Klum reveals her stay-slim secret in May's Good Housekeeping magazine. She doesn't whisper anything about strict diets and hard-core workouts, though. Nope. It's all about her kids.Klum's three children -- ages four, two, and one -- keep her busy all the time, says this beauty who reports that staying active with her little ones is how she stays in such good shape. I'm not sure that's all it takes -- I'm a mom too and simply moving with my boys just isn't enough -- but apparently it's one piece of the puzzle for this Supermom who says working in the garden, jumping on the trampoline, climbing trees, and feeding ducks in the park top her activity list.
Do your kids keep you in shape?

Robin Roberts struts her bald self
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts is bald, thanks to breast cancer and chemotherapy. She's done a bang-up job of covering up since she shaved her head in preparation of the big fallout -- her wig is a perfect match for the hair that once sprouted from her scalp -- but she recently decided to bare her shiny scalp. She did it to challenge her comfort zone, she says. What started as a dare had Roberts braving the catwalk the other day as part of Isaac Mizrahi's runway show, live from New York Fashion Week. All of her friends and fans knew she was doing the show -- they just didn't know she'd do it bald.
"This is who I am," Roberts said about her decision to ditch the wig.
When Roberts was diagnosed with breast cancer last July, the last thing she felt was beautiful. When the folks at Good Morning America dared her to be model, she seized the opportunity. It was a perfect way to push herself outside a certain comfort zone.
To transform herself into a supermodel, Roberts worked with Tyra Banks on walking the runway, Mizrahi on finding the perfect gown, and model Nikki Taylor on photo shoots -- a special layout will appear in an upcoming Redbook magazine.
Check out Roberts here in this video where you'll see a courageous woman make a bold statement as she fights to regain her health. Now that's what I call a model -- a role model.Sexy Motivation: Victoria's Secret and Heidi Klum

Last week, I tuned into the Victoria's Secret fashion show on television. Wow! What fun they have with bras and panties! And watching the models strut up and down the runway with their enormous angel wings and teeny underthings made me want to do some crunches at ten o'clock that night.
Now, of course the girls are ten feet tall and they are quite trim. But they are not the anorexic looking waifs we see on other runways. In fact, these chicks are fairly curvy and mostly resemble women. NOT THE TYPICAL WOMAN, but they look womanly.
Prada breaks free of the skinny model mold
Yay for Prada! In the world of freakishly-thin models (heck, there's even a Halloween costume for it!) Prada, one of the biggest and most influential fashion houses in the world, has made a bold move: Miuccia Prada chose a curvier mannequin to showcase a new sweater on the runway in Milan and a curvier model to actually walk the runway during a recent show. It's pretty sad when one mannequin and one model are such a big deal, but although it may be small it's a definite step in the right direction.
Obsession of Hollywood stars
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment, Motivation, Nutrition & Supplements
So what is with all of the obsession of Hollywood stars and is it healthy? Tabloid sales sky rocketing, hair styles being influenced, clothing and party trends being copied. Is it turning the heads of the young away from moral values? Where are the individual influences of us commoners. European countries scoff at our obsession of movie and television actors as if we treat them as royalty. The media does entire shows to cover the lives of the people in Hollywood. Hollywood movie stars make millions of dollars from their fan support and people love to see them any chance they get. It is just like the day time soap opera title implies, the bold and the beautiful make it in the world. The mild, meek and average stand by. Even the fashion magazines proudly print the famous faces of Hollywood on the front covers of their spreads instead of the industry runway models and big corporations have them advertising their products in commercials. Here recently are several examples. The death of Anna Nicole Smith is played out night after night in the entertainment news and in tabloids. A person that was best known for partying around Hollywood, marrying a man way older than her, has a dispute over who is the father of her baby, and over doses on drugs. And the unexplained behavior of Brittany Spears and her trips to rehab. I don't get it. I don't get why Americans care about this.
So when is the last time you asked your child or teenager who they admired and who they wanted to be like. Is it too late to instill the values of the hard working class citizens again or are we completely given in to the glitz and glamor of Tinseltown and all the fast tracking easy come easy go images that it implies. Are we teaching nothing but dazzling good looks and becoming an actor will go far in getting you noticed? I think healthy habits in choosing what matters in this world need to be evaluated.
