Reebok introduces Freestyle World Tour Collection

When I think of Reebok, my mind immediately goes to the most fashion forward cities in the world, like Paris and Madrid. Doesn't yours? It should!

Reebok is debuting its Freestyle World Tour Collection with a campaign that began on February 21. The footwear and apparel line is inspired by the "iconic Freestyle shoe that forever changed the face of women's fitness." Back in the 1980's, when Freestyles first hit the streets, they were just as much about fashion as they were about fitness.

This time around, Reebok will incorporate a completely original campaign, basing its line on six up and coming young women from six cities around the world -- Tokyo, Paris, New Delhi, Madrid, London, and NYC. Six different versions of the Freestyle have been created based upon each of these cities. For example, Tokyo's has flashy foil, while London's shoe is a reserved mix of muted colors.

Check them out -- which shoe epitomizes your sense of fitness fashion?

Paris Hilton has a fitness room -- for her shoes

Jonathon Morgan wrote about Paris Hilton and her new 7,000 square foot, $5.9 million mansion on Styledash, and now I'm here to tell you that I am so jealous that Hilton not only has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms -- she has a fitness room too. Ah, what I could do with my very own fitness room.

What does Hilton plan to do with her fitness room? Fill it with shoes, that's what. Now, I'd also love to have my very own shoe room but if given the choice, I'd take fitness over shoes any day. Not Hilton. She apparently favors footwear to exercise. Or does she? Her mansion does come complete with tennis courts. Perhaps that's where she'll burn her calories.

Or maybe not.

Celebrities, addiction, and rehab: What gives?

Why does it seem so many celebrities have such a hard time and go to such extremes when it comes to substance abuse and rehab issues? According to the experts, celebrities in general tend to feel protected from life's problems and often have to hit absolute rock bottom before they finally face them. So why do celebrities feel so "protected?" Society catches most of the blame, as experts say celebrities are held less accountable than other people. That, and I think being filthy rich helps too -- they don't have many of same issues the rest of do and in some cases get used to buying their way out of trouble.

Cyclocity: borrow a bike to get to work

In just a few weeks, the city of Paris will be debuting their new Cyclocity program, putting thousands of rental bikes at locations across the city. Though credit card information is required to rent a bike, the first half hour of each rental is free. Because most rides in the city are under a half hour, users of the system will essentially be able to commute and only pay a negligible fee. By implementing the program, the city hopes to reduce pollution and noise and create a slower paced, more relaxed feel.

France's third largest city, Lyon, put the system into place two years ago and it's been a huge success. I can only imagine, because I think it's a fabulous idea. Less carbon monoxide being spewed into the air, less traffic noise, and all those people out getting fit on their daily commute -- sounds perfect! In testing, city leaders found that when comparing commute by car, bus, biking, or walking, biking was the fastest form of travel in the city.

Cyclocity hasn't caught on in the U.S. yet, but some cities, like Portland, have tried similar programs. And at least one blogger is pushing her city leaders to adopt the program in Chicago, so maybe Americans may get a shot at this program yet!
