Meet the Bloggers: Kristen Seymour

You may have seen her posts already on Aisledash and Styledash ... now we're so excited to announce that Kristen Seymour is the newest member of our team!

1. Who are you?
Kristen Seymour

2. Age you tell people you are: Just celebrated the third anniversary of my 25th birthday.

3. Where you're from and where you live now: I grew up in a very small town in Michigan (seriously, more cows than people), made a smart move to Florida eight years ago, and I haven't left since.

4. Do you have a personal blog? I just started one, so please don't be too judgmental: Jeez-O-Petes.

5. What is your day job, or rather, what do you do when you're not fitness blogging? I also blog at AisleDash, StyleDash, and Chatterbox. Yes, I blog all day -- how great is that? Well, of course, that and go to the gym ...

6. How long have you been blogging with That's Fit and what is your favorite post? My favorite is probably What is a sprint triathlon and why should you do one? At least, so far ... I feel strongly about encouraging people to try things they might not have thought they could do

7. Do you have a specific fitness background or are you a mere mortal who's just passionate about being healthy and fit -- and living to write about it? I'm definitely a mere mortal, but I have a lot of experience -- I participated in several team sports all throughout school, both club and extracurricular, coached youth sports for some time, and have participated in a endurance races as an adult.

8. What's the worst fitness or diet idea you fell for? I've gone through a phase or two where I've tried to eat as little as possible, but not really to an unhealthy extend. I would still like to lose some weight, but I think it's just too hard for me to eat like a model, you know?

9. What motivates you to exercise and stay healthy? Really, just knowing that working out will make me feel (and look) better is all I need. If I need additional inspiration, I'll call a pal and ask for encouragement.

10. Who's your favorite fitness role model? I really admire AVP players like Misty May-Trainor and Kerri Walsh, but especially Karch Kiraly. I mean, he's still competing and rocking the pink cap. Who would've guessed?

11. What's your exercise "M.O." -- Gym workouts or outdoor endeavors; team or solitary sports? I mix it up -- I do a lot of running, but I love playing team spots when I get the chance.

12: Choice of fitness gear: Baggy sweats or sultry spandex? Somewhere in between -- I don't care to be restricted, but I'm not one to bare all, either. Although, if I looked like Heidi Klum, I'd probably wear tiny spandex shorts and a sports bra all day long. Or maybe not -- who knows?

13. What's your favorite fitness activity? Favorite? I don't know if I can choose! Kickboxing, volleyball, Pilates, triathlon ... I love them all! And, mixing it up keeps it intersting.

14. Do you have any non-fitness-related, non-blogging hobbies? I love fashion. I can't say that I always dress the best at the gym, but when I work so hard working out, I feel like I should take appropriate measures to look nice when I go out.

15. Confession time! What nonhealthy food do you eat -- or what unhealthy habit do you indulge in -- that would get you banned from That's Fit? What's your excuse for doing so? Oh, boy. I *LOVE* Mexican food -- I'm a pescatarian (I don't eat meat or poultry, but I'll eat seafood), so Mexican food gives me loads of options for delicious meals. I always feel like, even if I get a few extra calories, the beans give me protein, and avocado is all "good" fat, right? Right! Oh man, I'm getting hungry ...
