Kim Kardashian's Sexy Salad Commercial

Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

Kim Kardashian and her famous curves star in a new ad campaign for Carl's Jr. The reality star is promoting the fast food chain's salads, which she told People magazine "are healthy," which, she said, "fits what I'm about right now."

Well, we hate to break it to you, but that's only partially accurate. For starters, the reality TV star said she used diet pills to lose weight and even promotes Quick Trim. As for the salads, the Charbroiled Chicken Salad is not a terrible choice, weighing in with 250 calories, 9 g fat, 75 mg cholesterol and 590 mg sodium (before adding dressing), and the Side Salad barely counts with just 50 calories and 2.5 g fat. However, there's another option that's much, much worse: The Green Burrito Taco Salad.

This salad contains a whopping 970 calories, 58 g fat (19 of those being saturated), 75 mg cholesterol and 1850 mg sodium. And yes, most people probably know that, by its very nature, a taco salad is never the healthiest salad option. However, when Kim said, "The salads are healthy," you'd think there would be more than one diet-friendly meal option (one and a half, if you count the little side salad as a meal).

Khloe Kardashian Shares Weight Loss Tips

It's not surprising that fans might label the Kardashian sisters in order to tell them apart. After all, they all have "K" names (Kim, Khloe and Kourtney), they all have gorgeous dark hair, they all appear on E!s "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and they all have attitude. But when fans would stop Khloe Kardashian, they'd say, "Oh, you're the fat, funny one," Khloe recently told Life & Style magazine. Not exactly a label Khloe was looking for.

Weight struggles aren't new to Khloe. After her parents' divorce, emotional eating caused her to gain weight. "You just don't understand stress like that when you're younger," she says. As a teen, Khloe's unhealthy relationship with food went to the other extreme. "I was anorexic when I was 15 -- I'd be obsessed with working out, and I'd never eat," Khloe says in Life & Style. As an adult, emotional eating after her father's death caused her to gain weight once again.

Khloe started working out with her sister, Kim, and they'd work together to keep their snacking habits in check. Recently, Khloe Kardashian lost weight by exercising 45 minutes five days a week and eating healthfully. It sounds like a healthy and balanced approach to weight loss. However, Khloe claims that she lost 20 pounds in four weeks, and that's a bit hard to believe.

Kim Kardashian loves junk food

Celebrities and Entertainment, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Nutrition & Supplements

Kim Kardashian told the world in January that she would cut down on junk food in 2008. Three months into the New Year, the star of E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians says her diet just isn't getting any better.

"I figured just eating well would help me lose five pounds or so," says the 27-year-old. "It's so hard to eat well because I love so many unhealthy foods. I just can't stop eating junk. It's awful!"

While her diet may be out the window, Kardashian is sticking with her exercise routine to keep her famous figure in shape.

"I've got a personal trainer who keeps me active," she says. "I work my butt and legs just about every day, and I do cardio to burn fat. I've actually started videotaping my workouts so I can do them on the road. I'm going to start selling the videos soon on my Web site so that others can do the same workout that I do. They're short videos, but if you do them one right after the other, it's a really good workout."

Kim Kardashian vows to eat better

Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Nutrition & Supplements

I've never even heard of deep-fried Oreos but I hear Kim Kardashian, star of E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, plans to give them up as part of her New Year's resolution.

Besides swearing off her sinful indulgence, the 27-year-old says she's going on a diet. Don't worry, she won't starve herself. She just wants to eat better.

"I need to start eating responsibly," says the new girlfriend of NFL star Reggie Bush, who reports she gets enough exercise but eats like crap.

Kardashian has no specific diet plans on her radar at the moment.

"I know what's good for me and what isn't," she says. "It's just a matter of making the right choices."
