John Mayer's ex loves her curves

Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

Actress Minka Kelly may have said goodbye to once-boyfriend John Mayer but she won't say farewell to her curves, says the 28-year-old Friday Night Lights star.

"I've heard it all -- 'Lose weight, lose the booty.' It's not going anywhere though!" she says. Nope, there are no diets on the horizon for this beauty, who reports that she's a healthy girl who likes to eat.

Kelly wishes all women would love their bodies. "It's good for them to know that you don't have to be anorexic."

What about you -- do you love your curves?

Your Fitzness trainer raises the white flag

Womens Health, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment, Motivation, Men's Health

I just returned from what was supposed to be a short two hour trip to the mall to grab some Black Friday deals, and boy did I have my butt kicked! Instead of a short visit, I spent two hours shopping and waiting in the Disney Store line alone, followed by three more tedious hours in only two more shops. I'm DONE!

Normally, I'm capable of full-blown kickboxing for at least two hours, but apparently that's way easier than standing around at the mall. What is that all about? Maybe what added to my exhaustion was the mental strain involved in spending a bazillion dollars in one morning. I only felt a little bit bad about it though, because I saved a few million. Isn't it strange that we rationalize these sales? I did 'save' a bunch, but I think I definitely bought more things because of the sales. I don't know.

Nonetheless. I'm pooped! Tired! Whipped! Drained! My feet hurt and I'm taking the rest of the day off. I've raised my white flag! This fitness trainer has been beaten. Mall 1 - Fitz 0.

Yay or nay: Working out on a Friday night?

Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness

I read this post over on Fitsugar about working out on a Friday night and how it can get you going for a great weekend and it got me to thinking, is there any truth in that? I think, like most things in the health and fitness arena, it depends on personal preferences. Exercise is relaxing, and if you have the energy working out at the end of a long week could really start your weekend off right. Plus I would think that even if you have plans to go out and have fun squeezing a workout in beforehand would certainly help boost your confidence and buffer some of the guilt from the beer and chicken wings.

But then maybe that time after you get home from that long stressful week is about no plans, no demands, just relaxing and kicking your feet up.

What do you think? Friday night workout session a good idea or not?
