Cindy Crawford's Hot Body Defies Age
Forty-three is by no means old -- not even close -- but you have to admit that keeping fit doesn't get any easier as we age. Cindy Crawford, however, seems to have put the aging process on hold. She recently stripped down -- completely down -- for the anti-aging section of the latest issue of "Allure" magazine (on newsstands now). And I'll tell you what -- she looked just as good, if not better, than any woman half her age could hope to look.So what's her secret? Well, she follows a strict skin care routine including "a day cream with antioxidants, a sunscreen, a night cream, and an eye cream," and makes use of microdermabrasion to keep her skin looking flawless.
As far as her fabulous figure, she's said before that she doesn't find time to exercise; she makes time. And, reportedly, she sips on vinegar to keep her appetite at bay. Additionally, she told "Michigan Avenue Magazine" last fall, "I exercise and eat pretty well, and I'm not a big drinker. I want my kids to see their mom eating normally. If we go for ice cream, I might get the tiny size, but I'll eat it. I don't want my daughter to think she can't eat ice cream."
"The Bachelor" - He's Fit for Shower Scenes
Celebrity Fitzness Report, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
Curious to know how celebrities squeeze fitness into their daily lives? Our fitness expert Fiz sits down with the stars and digs out their great and not-so-great methods for staying healthy.
This season's "Bachelor" Jason Mesnick is finally coming down to his most dramatic rose ceremony ever! Although that whole "dramatic rose ceremony thing" makes me giggle, Jason's body does not. In fact, he's been showing off that six-pack of his quite a bit since the show began a couple of months ago. In this satellite video interview, Jason dishes on how he stays sexy for shower scenes and what measures he takes to keep his teeny son Ty healthy too. Jason also answers the question about which girls were kept around just because of their looks.
"The Bachelor" finale airs this Monday night, March 2nd on ABC at 8/7c. I'm sure no matter how much drama the show contains, there is bound to be a few shirtless shots of Jason. I'll tune in for that!
Havaianas FIT - A Perfect Post-Workout Shoe

Havaianas have long been the flip flop of choice for lots of people in the fashion community. Last week was Fashion Week in New York, and as soon as all those models and style scenesters were able to slip out of the stilettos, I guarantee you that a large percentage were sliding into a pair of Havaianas. I mean, truth be told, they're just little rubber flip flops, but they come in a bunch of styles and even more colors, so it's easy to be unique in comfort.
Now, if you're anything like me, you love getting out of your tennis shoes after a workout -- I love letting my toes stretch out after hitting the gym. And sure, any sandal will allow it, but really, all the cool gym kids are sporting the Havaianas Fit Sandal.
It's a great post-workout show because, for one thing, they're rubber, so you stick them on your sweaty feet or wear them in the locker room shower. Second, they have a strap that comes around the back of your heel, so they're not going to slide around, even when they're all wet. And you know how much of a pain it is when your calves are already tired and sore and you're having to hold your foot just right so your flip flop stays on. You know.

Fitz: You're playing the title character in a ABC's new prime-time show "Better Off Ted" which debuts Wednesday, March 18th at 8:30PM That must come with an insane amount of pressure.
Jay: It's exciting! But I'm not nervous, because the show is based on a fantastic ensemble cast. I don't do more than anyone else.
Fitz: You also star in "Private Practice." How do you handle both shows?
Jay: We've had a ton of time to shoot "Better Off Ted," so on that end the shooting schedule has been incredibly relaxed.
Fitz: Do you feel pressure as a leading man to stay in shape?
How Fido Helps You Get Fit
Those of us with canine companions know that getting a dog is hard work -- but not only is it emotionally rewarding, having a dog helps you get fit too. Singer Fergie and her new husband Josh Duhamel know -- they're about to adopt a third pooch into their fur family. And obviously it's working for them. Yes, Fido helps you get fit, according to this article. And I believe it because here's the thing about having a dog -- you have to walk it. Which means you have to walk. Every day. I dog sat for a couple of months in the summer and it helped me get in even better shape because I had this gigantic ball of energy barrelling up and down hills that I had to follow.
I'm not saying you should get a dog just as an exercise device. But if a pooch is in the cards for you, don't fear the daily walks -- they'll do you a world of good.

Q. Hi Fitz! I've come across a couple articles recently that are dead-set against prolonged cardio multiple times a week. They suggest that High Intensity Interval Training or low intensity activity only a few times a week at most, alongside regular weight training, is the only way to lose fat and stay fit. I don't think I could live without long runs or my favorite aerobics class. What do you think? Thanks, Samantha
A. Hi Samantha! Thanks for the great question. I'm sure it's on the minds of many. Bottom line, the folks who said that are over-opinionated. Think about Lance Armstrong, the guy does massive amounts of cardio each week and is the picture of health. So do I ... and so do most runners, cyclists, boxers, kickboxers, soccer players and more.

5 Reasons You Need to Be Really Skinny
There are five really great reasons to be incredibly skinny. I think you'll agree with these.
- You are a contortionist.
- You're in jail and want to avoid all the effort it takes to create a master escape plan and just slide out through the bars of your cell.
- You want to hide behind small tress.
- You are part of an ice skating team with some dude spinning you around over his head.
- You are starring in a movie in which your character was lost at sea and has been stranded on an island for a long time.
Yep. These are the best reasons I can think of. Skinny or trim (which is the word I prefer) is fine if that's what you naturally are, as long as the term suits you in a healthy way. But "skinny" is not something I would hope people would strive for. Healthy and fit are far more important concerns than "skinny."
Kate Winslet - Fit for an Oscar
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
We like Kate Winset. She's fit yet frank about her body issues -- she admits she was once a fat kid, doesn't hide that she has a crumbly tummy and mommy boobs and overall, is pretty happy with the how she looks. And we're pretty happy for her. The star was just nominated for an Oscar in the category of Actress in a Leading Role for her work in The Reader. Congrats, Kate. We think you're definitely fit for this honor.
Simple & Quick Healthy Food - Really!
Diet & Weight Loss, Nutrition & Supplements
We all know that people tend to use time as a so-called "legitimate" reason to eat poorly. Those people never like me much. Why? Because the excuse is lame and doesn't hold water, and I'm fairly upfront about it. The truth: Bananas are quicker to peel than any package can be opened. Apples don't even need peeling!
Cooked food can also be insanely quick. In fact, I always keep giant bags of various frozen vegetables in my freezer so I can toss them in a bowl and heat them in the microwave in under five minutes. Is it gourmet? Not really. Do I care? Hell no!
What matters most is that we choose fruits, veggies, lean meats and whole grains. Those are a few of the things that are vital not only to weight maintenance, but they support a nourished, energetic and disease-free body. If you are hell-bent on eating poorly than just get on with it. But if you truly want to make fitness happen and change your life, you're going to have to kick excuses to the curb.
KayCee Stroh - The High School Musical Star Was a Buff Bride
Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
High School Musical star KayCee Stroh was married on January 9. And rumor has it she was a pretty buff bride.KaCee made a wise wedding move and hired a trainer. The result: "My body mass has changed and, for the first time, my arms are strong," she says.
Looks like KaCee should be writing a thank you note to her trainer, who had her doing weight training and cardio workouts (she did the elliptical and stair climber three times a week) and is clearly the giver of the gift of fitness. Now that's a wedding gift you just can't beat. Let's just hope she doesn't decide to return it anytime soon.

Fit Kids Get Better Grades
It only stands to reason that the more fit your child is, the more adept they will be at their sport of choice. But fitness affects more than your child's skill on the field ... fitness can affect academic performance as well. It might even promote brain cell growth. In today's day and age where phys ed classes are practically a thing of the past and video games bogart our kids' attention spans, it's important to encourage physical activity. Signing your kids up for team sports is a great way to promote activity while helping them build confidence and social skills. But day to day activity is just as important, so get outside with your kids and get them moving.
Tori Spelling's Bikini Body Boasting

Seven months after giving birth to her second child, Tori Spelling is in In Touch wearing a bikini and not afraid to say, "I kick ass!" I kind of think she does, too -- she gained 50 pounds while pregnant, lost 10 right away, and has worked for more than half a year to drop the remaining weight, and here at That's Fit, we're big fans of hot mamas who drop the weight healthfully.
Tori didn't count calories, but focused on eating healthfully. She shared a typical diet in the interview: "Breakfast was yogurt, fruit and nuts. Lunch was homemade soup with a sweet potato or soy milk base. We'd snack on celery and peanut butter, and then I'd make lean protein with vegetables for dinner."The former 90210 star said she was proud of getting a bikini body back after the baby, adding, "I could've gotten here sooner if I was fanatical and worked out extensively every day, but I'm glad I didn't. I'm so happy I did it with my family and in a healthy way."
