We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs Weekly Round-up: July 4, 2008

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs Weekly Roundup, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

How does Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba stay so fit? Well, obviously dance plays some role, but she credits her upbringing with her healthy diet.

Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly loves her curves, and she's not alone. Charlize Theron has also made it known that she thinks her curves belong right where they are, and that they make her feel "pretty hot."

Joining the "I love my curves" club is recent mama Christina Aguilera, who has worked hard to get her tummy flat and toned, but admits she's "okay with the booty and the boobs."

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Christina Aguilera on exercising post-baby

Is it just me, or are more and more celebrities making the admission that they don't really like to exercise? First we hear that new mom Milla Jovovich "doesn't embrace exercise," and now we're hearing something similar from Christina Aguilera.

In a recent interview with Glamour, Christina admits, "I hate working out -- I have to mentally push myself through it." She works out 90 minutes a day and has a trainer, but she "can't deal with having someone barking" at her, but when she's asked to do something, she just gets focused and gets it done. She's now able to do five pull-ups in a row, as long as she's asked nicely to do it.

Christina gained about 40 pounds in her pregnancy (she had her son, Max, about six months ago), and while she was "OK with the booty and the boobs" after giving birth, she wasn't happy with the weight she was carrying around her stomach. She noticed a big change in her hips as well, and her shoe size went from a five to a seven (it's gone back down now, though -- imagine the horror if she'd had to start over with shoes!). The weight hasn't melted off easily for the diva, but she's regaining her body slowly but surely (and healthfully), and I have no doubt she'll be back to her pre-baby body shortly.

Eating like a star: Food requests of popular musicians

Celebs & Entertainment

They might be skinny but they're not necessarily healthy according to this article, which lists the food (and other) requests of rock, country, rap and pop stars. Some are pretty basic but some are frankly bizarre. Sugary cereal is a request of both Clay Aitken and Red Hot Chili Peppers. KFC is the greasy meat of choice for Gnarls Barkley and 50 Cent. Alcohol (in mass quantities) is on the list for the members of Green Day and Coldplay. Expensive Champagne is a favorite of Mariah Carey and 50 Cent, and both Axl Rose and Marilyn Manson love their meat -- so much so that Manson always orders a full pound of it.

Some celebrities make healthy choices. John Mayer and Christina Aguilera both request a selection of organic items and Shania Twain brings along her own juicer and requests a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies.

Now it's your turn. If you were a famous musician, what would you request on the road? I think I would ask for a plate of fancy expensive cheeses, a bunch of fresh, organic fruits and veggies, some chocolate (though not too much -- I wouldn't want to over-indulge), a selection of fresh seafood and, what the heck, a bottle of champagne. You only live once, right?
