Now, Wilson is gearing up to shoot a weight-loss reality show on GSN, reports the LA Times. After giving birth to the most recent addition to her family, the singer (wait, when did she last sing something?) has had trouble losing the 50 pounds of baby weight she gained during pregnancy, so, naturally, she's turning to the spotlight to help her shed the weight.

Carnie Wilson - She Has Lots of Sex Since Losing Weight
Carnie Wilson's weight gets around -- the scale, that is. It's gone up, up some more, up some more, down a lot, up again and down again. Gastric Bypass surgery didn't help her keep the weight off for good, but changing her habits has helped her slim down once again. She spoke to OK Magazine about her most recent weight loss -- here are some of the highlights:- On her cheat foods: "I bake cheesecake for other people and I taste it and spit it out. Every six or seven weeks, I have a tiny bit of dark chocolate and I actually will say, "You can swallow this. You deserve to taste something you love."
- On her favorite healthy foods: "My saviors are baby carrots, hummus, natural peanut butter, baked yams and almond butter sweetened with agave."
- On her husband's reaction: "He's so happy! We had so much fun trying to make a baby last week. We had so much sex."
Luckily, sex burns calories -- she probably doesn't even have to spit out the cheesecake every time.

Carnie Wilson - how she dropped the pounds THIS time
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Carnie Wilson has seen extreme ups and down in terms of her weight and other aspects of her life -- earlier this year, Carnie stated that she'd hit "rock bottom" when she weighed in at 208 pounds. Not only was she unhappy with how she looked and felt, but she wanted to try getting pregnant again (she and her husband already have a three-year-old daughter, Lola) and knew it wasn't healthy to do so until she'd lost 40 or 50 pounds. And now, she has -- this time, through diet and exercise rather than surgery.
Carnie, who is now down to a healthy 160 pounds, shared a few of her best tips and tricks with Momlogic, talking about how she stayed motivated and on track and how she fought cravings. And, she's serving up advice, too, encouraging people not to diet, but rather, to improve eating habits and add some exercise to be healthy.

Ashlee Simpson gives an interview to Shape magazine and talks about engaged life (it's fantastic), the tabloid gossip (it doesn't bother her anymore), and her workout, which generally takes place at her home and consists of using some weights and machines. However, her trainer added that much of her workout doesn't use equipment -- it uses her environment. She runs down her stairs, does lunges around her pool, runs back up, and does squats. Now if only we all had flights of stairs and fabulous pools to exercise around ...Sex and the City hottie Jason Lewis tells I'm Not Obsessed his trick for keeping fit -- he grills all his food. Tasty! Grilling, I mean. Not him. Well, maybe him. I'm flustered!
Jennifer Garner is featured in the May issue of Self and talks about her love of the farmers' markets during the summer as well as how much sunscreen she wears on a daily basis. Not only is she fit and beautiful -- she a smart and healthy role model, too!
Carnie Wilson hits 'rock bottom'
Carnie Wilson is known as one-third of the pop group Wilson Phillips. But she is even more well-known for a number -- her weight. At 300 lbs, she famously underwent gastric bypass surgery in 1999--one of the first celebrities to opt for the risky medical procedure--and wowed fans with her new body, only to gain most of it back when she gave birth to daughter Lola. Then she took some off as a participant in Celebrity Fit Club, but that too was short-lived. Now, according to a recent article in OK Magazine, she's weighing in at 208 lbs, is a size 16 and feels she's hit 'rock bottom.'In her own words: "It hurts. I don't want to feel this way anymore. It doesn't feel good when you have to struggle to get your pants on ... I'd like to lose 45 to 50 pounds and then try to get pregnant again."
While I don't endorse gastric bypass surgery as a way to lose weight, I feel for her. Luckily, she seems to have a good attitude--as she says, "I know I will [lose the weight]! I don't consider myself a failure. I just got off track."
Think gastric bypass surgery is the way to go?
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Did anyone watch the Oprah special today on Gastric Bypass surgery? She interviewed a number of women who've undergone the procedure, only to have their eating addiction overshadowed by a more serious addiction, like alcoholism. One of her guests was Carnie Wilson, who famously went under the knife years ago. Wilson admitted that she became a serious alcoholic in the years following her surgery, downing a bottle of wine and 10 martinis a day. Gastric bypass surgery is not the miracle fix everyone seems to think it is. In fact, many people have developed dangerous addictions after undergoing the surgery. What Oprah emphasized on her show, and what I think everyone who is struggling with weight should know is that if you don't address the demons that make you overeat, you'll never truly be healthy. Also? Skinny does not equal happy, no matter how much you think it will.
What do you think?
