The study found that "rotors" of electrical activity in the heart can be looked at to ensure they are in sync with the heart's blood pumping chambers. It's when those two are out of sync that sudden cardiac arrest can occur.

The neat thing here is that the fibrillation can be scaled and monitored using a formula correlated to body mass. In essence, every patient can be studied in an individual way to really make results come out with as low as an error percentage as possible.
