Octomom Loses 145 Pounds Without Surgery Or Trainer
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

I know what you're thinking -- just how does a mother of 14 young children find time to diet and exercise? She had to trade a bit of sleep for the sake of fitness by heading to the gym at midnight while a nanny minded the children. Once there, she did strength training but no cardio because "I get enough of that with the kids," she tells US Weekly.
And as for her diet? She relies on five nutritious, protein-rich meals a day, and chooses from household staples like oatmeal, lean protein and even sushi.
She's not the only one -- Sarah Michelle Gellar is already back in shape just one month after giving birth!

Carnie Wilson's Weight-Loss Reality Show

Then, she gained it back, but lost it again through diet and exercise. And then she talked about how much sex she and her husband were having. And it, too, was gross.
Now, Wilson is gearing up to shoot a weight-loss reality show on GSN, reports the LA Times. After giving birth to the most recent addition to her family, the singer (wait, when did she last sing something?) has had trouble losing the 50 pounds of baby weight she gained during pregnancy, so, naturally, she's turning to the spotlight to help her shed the weight.
Sarah Michelle Gellar Back in Shape Just One Month After Baby

It seems like news of her no-doubt adorable daughter's birth broke just the day before yesterday, but Sarah Michelle Gellar is already back to her pre-pregnancy weight -- or at least that's what it looks like judging by recent photos of the new mom out and about in LA. Wearing a pair of tight jeans and high heels, and heading for a manicure with a friend, it's pretty hard to believe that she's only a few weeks into motherhood -- her little bundle of joy, Charlotte Grace, was born exactly a month ago today on September 19.
What's her secret? Prior to becoming a mom, the 32-year-old Buffy actress talked about how she bikes and heads to the gym to stay fit, but I doubt she'll have time for that right now with an infant to look after. She hasn't revealed her slim-down tricks just yet, but seeing as Anna Oritz from Ugly Betty recently called breast-feeding "nature's lipo," maybe that's got something to do with it?

Voted FHM's Sexiest Woman in the World in 2007, Jessica Alba admitted in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK that during her pregnancy she's never felt less sexy and couldn't wait to lose all her baby weight. Jessica gained 25 pounds while pregnant and said she craved all food in general but told Fit Pregnancy that she had a sudden desire for citrus based foods like lemonade and oranges.

How did Jessica Alba manage to look so slim shortly after giving birth to her daughter Honor Marie? "I wore a girdle," the star confessed in a recent issue of Elle. "Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack. She told me to put an elastic band around my waist -- any kind of band or girdle works."
The actress did, however, have to hit the gym to shape up to shoot Club Campari's annual calendar. "[The workouts] were horrible," she told the magazine.
It was reported in People that Jessica shed the baby weight on celebrity trainer Ramona Braganza's 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone plan. On it, Jessica opted for a low-fat, low-carb diet and worked out with her trainer six days a week.

During her pregnancy with twins Dolly and Charlie, Rebecca Romijn told Page Six Magazine, "I can't move anymore...I'm a beached whale!" According to her husband, Jerry O'Connell, the supermodel and "Ugly Betty" star reportedly craved "a lot of ice cream."

While pregnant with son Bronx, Ashlee Simpson-Wetz took to her blog to make it clear she wasn't worried about putting on a few pregnancy pounds: "Carrying a child is the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life. My weight and my pants size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about. I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby."

In an effort to shed the 30 pounds she gained while pregnant with Bronx, it's been reported that Simpson-Wentz has turned to Jackie Keller's 30-day Body After Baby plan, which incorporates "mommy and me" workouts. Ashlee's also using Keller's meal delivery service, called Nutrifit.

In order to shed the pounds Kate gained prior to delivering daughter Mia, the five-time Oscar nominee relied on the popular British facial analysis diet, which prescribes a meal plan based on an individual's complexion and facial features.

The always-stunning Halle Berry was constantly aglow during her pregnancy. Part of the reason could have been the fitness routine she maintained throughout that included yoga and swimming.

Just six weeks after giving birth to a baby girl, Berry flaunted her voluptuous post-partum figure -- the result of hour-long sessions with celeb trainer trainer Ramona Braganza in which she used the elliptical and stair climbing machines and did kickboxing.

Get Fit After Baby, Tracey Mallett Style

Mallett thinks you should set a realistic goal, write up an action plan, get some good exercise DVDs, find some support and ditch the guilt -- go ahead and leave your kids with a sitter while you work up a sweat, it's good for everyone involved. Get some sleep, too, because fatigue is the biggest challenge for moms getting in shape after baby.
The best way to slim down and firm up, says Mallett, is interval circuit training -- strength training with small bursts of cardio. Stroller workouts are good, and splitting up your routine into manageable segments during the day is wise. And in her book "Super Fit Mama," Mallett recommends The Diaper Bag Workout. Seems to have worked for her, you might want to try it, too.

Isla Fisher - Honest Celebrity Mom
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
While growing her little bun, Olive, in the oven, funny girl Isla Fisher gained 60 pounds. But rather than tell us all that she dropped the baby weight just by breastfeeding, a la most celeb moms, Isla gets a little more honest:"Jerry Bruckheimer hired a personal trainer to help me get rid of the 60lb I put on during pregnancy. He said I was lucky I was blessed with good genes because I had a really bad attitude towards exercise - like stopping when it hurt or got boring and having a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Apparently you are not supposed to do that in Hollywood."
Jealous about those good genes though I am, I'm proud of Isla for admitting she had to work hard to get her body back into Hollywood fighting shape, a far more realistic version of the truth. I've also gained a new fondness for her in admitting that exercise can be hard work ... there are days when cake is infinitely more interesting.
But hard work pays off in ways that cake can't -- a toned and fit body, plenty of energy, and that feeling you get when you've finally reached a goal. Good on you, Isla!
Jessica Alba - Hot, Sexy and Airbrushed
Note to magazine editors, professional photographers, and anyone else who dabbles in Photoshop ... cut it out. Jessica Alba just had her little girl, Honor, last June and she's back to pre-baby shape already. She looks gorgeous (says Maggie with a jealous sneer). But, apparently, someone from the Campari campaign didn't think she was quite gorgeous enough.Photos have surfaced showing a shot from the photo shoot before retouching and a photo after retouching. Granted, in my opinion, they're two different photos (her head tilt is different and would they really retouch the whole background?), even so, it's obvious there's been some retouching going on.
I just think it's a shame to take an incredibly fit and gorgeous woman like Jessica Alba and find room for improvement. It's no wonder that I -- far from Jessica Alba-ish -- look at my mirror in the morning and wonder when my rear end is going to be declared the 51st state.
SNL's Amy Poehler Debuts Body After Baby
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

Moms with new babies don't need to slink down catwalks in revealing garb just after their hospital discharge. So go away Brooke Burke and your Taut belly wrap (if only it were really as easy as binding your belly). I'd rather look at Amy, who incidentally, will probably be teeny-tiny in another few weeks. Then I'll hate her too.
Jessica Alba - What Baby Weight?
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs, Diet & Weight Loss, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment

Jessica Alba has looked fantastic at every public outing since giving birth to her first child in June, but none of that prepared the world for a calendar Alba posed in wearing swimwear, evening gowns and a whole lot of sex appeal. The calendar is for Campari, an alcoholic apertif. Maybe next time we'll see her posing in a campaign for fruits and veggies, which seems a little more up her ally!
While it's entirely likely that a decent amount of retouching went into the calendar (good grief, I hope so), there's no disputing she's looking hotter than ever, with an hourglass figure to die for. She's relied on a strict diet and exercise, as well as a personal trainer, but admits that she generally sticks to baggier duds these days."I'm usually walking around in comfy clothes, with a baby on my arm," the fit-but-curvy Alba says, adding that she enjoyed getting all dressed up. I think everyone else will enjoy it, too -- either for gawking purposes or, in my case, for motivation. I think I need some of the images taped to my gym bag!
Angelina Jolie does Pilates on her kids' Nintendo DS

There has been plenty of speculation about how, exactly, Angelina Jolie got her body back into such amazing shape so quickly after giving birth to twins, Knox and Vivienne. Did she have surgery? Or was it through diet? Most recently, the story is that she's getting in shape by doing Pilates using the kids' Nintendo DS.
"Let's Pilates" is a game in which you -- you guessed it -- do Pilates. There are ways to customize the workout and reportedly, Angelina is already on the toughest level. By following the routines for an hour, three times a week, Angelina has quickly regained her pre-baby body.Angie's not the only celeb who's found Pilates to be a fabulously effective workout. Check out the gallery below to see which other stars have a body by Pilates.
Nicole Richie loves martial arts
Notoriously thin Nicole Richie has been called lots of things, but buff is not one of them. However, that all might change -- the petite socialite has been working out lately to prepare for her role role in the TV show Chuck. According to Richie, "In 'Chuck', I play a cheerleader who ends up in a huge girly fight with an old classmate. We had a week of intense training with a martial arts guy to get ready for this scene and I loved every minute of it. If I had any baby weight left, that definitely got rid of it."And it looks like she's planning on keeping up her healthy routine -- according to sources, she's hired celeb trainer Harley Pasternak to whip her into shape. But it's not for health reasons -- says one friend, "Nicole feels huge right now. Her breasts are enormous and she finds it difficult to get comfortable. The change to her body has been drastic and it's been hard for Nicole to accept. She looks in the mirror and doesn't even recognize the person staring back at her."
She feels huge? I think she looks great with a couple extra pounds -- better than she has in years. Your thoughts?
Dieting Diaries: Momlogic Moms test drive the hottest diets
Losing weight is usually a concern for moms; shedding the baby weight can take months, sometimes years -- unless you're a celebrity, that is.
Over at Momlogic, some of the moms are trying to lose weight, and they're using the sort of hot Hollywood weight loss programs we're always hearing about. Jenny is trying The Zone, Julie is trying Weight Watchers, Gillian is trying a food delivery service, Jill is trying the ever-bewildering Morning Banana Diet, and Melissa (poor soul) is trying the Master Cleanse diet -- aka, the lemonade, maple syrup and cayenne pepper diet. But she doesn't mind -- she said she did it with ease before and lost 17 pounds.
We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs - Angelina doesn't exercise but still loses all the baby weight

Apparently, after the birth of her twins, she really had a hard time putting down the pizza and other high-calorie snacks and desserts, but she didn't have much time to waste before she had to hit the red carpet again. But rather than hit the gym like some of her peers, Angelina says she just went with a strict diet. Although, other sources report that she had a tummy tuck.
Jolie says she received food shipments from a Berlin department store, and not only did the healthier diet help her shed an estimated 50 pounds, it helped Brad lose a few pounds, too. Angelina has also said that "[running] around with all the kids, and breastfeeding" has helped her get back to her slender self naturally. Do you believe it?
Did Angelina slim down surgically?
Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
We know there's a lot of pressure for new celebrity moms to slim down immediately after giving birth. A. Lot. Of. Pressure. And while everybody seems to have their own methods for quick weight-loss -- a special diet, home gym equipment, trainers, etc. -- it seems like they've all lost the weight somewhat naturally. That is, until now.Star magazine's cover story is that Angelina Jolie got her body back after giving birth to twins by having a tummy tuck, or, as she (reportedly) prefers to call it a mommy tuck. Remember how the Jolie-Pitt clan was holed up in that French chateau for months after Knox and Vivienne were born? Star says it was so Angie could recover in private.
If she did have the surgery, I can't say that I blame her -- she knew her Changeling premiere was coming up in October, so of course she wanted to look amazing. Her fans expect nothing less. But, I do think it's unfortunate she felt she had to do it so quickly after giving birth. What do you think?
Constance Zimmer is a Fit Mama
Constance Zimmer, who plays recurring character Dana Gordon on the hot HBO series Entourage, is one of the latest new Hollywood mamas to lose the baby weight in record time. The 37-year-old star, who gave birth to little Collette Zoe in January, recently talked to OK Magazine about getting back into top shape:- On her diet: "I did a food program that's called Fresh Mommy, which is all delivered organic food that's really good for you. You need to eat so much food after you have a baby to breastfeed, so it's all about portion control."
- On fitness: "I walked a lot. I wore a weight vest when I walked, so it was an added four pounds of weight every time I walked."
- On the Hollywood pressure to be thin right away: "It's been eight months. This industry doesn't give you any time to take off the baby weight. It kind of has to happen right away."
Walking with a weighted vest? Sounds interesting ... and obviously effective.
