May 6th 2011 2:59PM I think the 1st mom needs to get on Watchdog.com & check out the sex offenders in her neighborhood. It lists the address, photo & offense. You would be surprised who is lurking close. I don't care how "good" you think your neighborhood is we all have them! Seems like she is just setting her children up as a target. The bathtub is a given... & dying your toddlers hair? Isn't that dangerous to their health? Those chemicals are pretty strong! I let my child eat food in a store. A box of animal crackers & I explain & give the clerk the box & she rings it up. They never seem to care at my grocery store.
Feb 10th 2011 11:04AM bsy while pot can lead to the use of other drugs, you can not overdose on pot. I am not defending it i am not a fan myself. I don't do, don't like to be around it, but i have to be rational regardless of my personal feeling towards it and say you can not overdose on it.
Feb 3rd 2011 12:21PM Actually it's not just the junk food extras. The standards for school lunches themselves have gotten ridiculous! A soft pretzel with processed cheese is not a main course! I worked for a school. I ate school lunces for a while and started gaining weight. I started bringing my own lunches again & lost 30lbs by the end of the year. I didn't alter anything else in my life! There is little protien in these meals and the fruit and vegetables are of such poor quality the children rarely eat them!
Feb 2nd 2011 11:56PM This may be one factor. But I can say I was an employee at a school that did have recess. We got a free lunch if we ate with the kids. I would frequently eat them. I started gaining weight. I quit and started bringing my own lunches & lost 30 lbs by the end of the year! I'm not a huge exerciser, but i would about a mile a day pretty briskly, okay really more being dragged by 100lb. lab mix! lol But I really saw 1st hand these lunches are pretty bad! I'm glad to see they are doing something! I agree though kids do need a recess to get energy out for one & get excercise but school lunches are to blame as well! I mean a soft pretzel with processed cheese dip is not a main course!
