Josh Harris: I Won't Let My Dad's Dreams Die {PopEater}
Jun 16th 2010 11:01PM Watching years of DC showed us many things about Phil Harris. He was a rough,tough,fun loving,hard playing,hard working man, an excellent judge and manager of men,intelligent and crafty, gentle and loving.He was a loyal friend and proud,loving father. He had a wicked and fun sense of humor. When faced with hard decisions and situations,he stepped up to the plate and hit hard. He made human mistakes, but his example is one to learn from. He has been accurately described as an American Legend. Good luck to his sons,boys no longer, but young men.
Chefs Declare Assault on Chicken Nuggets and Other School Lunches {ParentDish}
Jun 7th 2010 11:24AM With 4 kids in 8 years, I could not afford cafeteria lunches. I made the sandwiches, the kids picked from fruit, veggie sticks, a cookie or chips. I did send money to buy cold milk or juice, or a thermous with water or lemonade. Once in a while, I sent money to buy lunch....but the kids preferred what they brought from home. There are lots of options to keep the food safe until lunch. Teach your children about healthy food. School budgets are for education...not food. It is up to parents...nobody else.

And ,gee, would you want to take most of the jobs aliens workers do? Agriculture? Low level manufacturing? How much do you, perspnally, benefit from their labors? More illegals in California is not something our state can handle, but blaming Bush...I draw the line. Get Real!
Bake Sales: Let Them Eat Junk! {ParentDish}
Mar 3rd 2010 1:21PM The school district should offer only food that encourages good learning behaviors (no sugar) especially when the taxpayers dollar is paying for the food. We deserve to get our moneys worth out of the schools. Fundraisers after school hours....sales only to adults...is often times the most efficient and quick way to fund special things, however. The key is ONLY TO ADULTS. What my kids eat at home...that's my business not government business.
