Oct 10th 2010 9:02AM I'm 74 and really so proud of you Marylou. Takes a lot of determination to lose even 5 pounds.
May 13th 2010 11:36AM You tell um, Philly.
May 13th 2010 11:14AM After reading about discontented passengers on American Airlines telling their tales of woe, I am not one bit surprised. Many of the passengers were woeful before they walked onto a plane. Some were upset before they even left their homes, or hotel rooms or another flight. Add to that mix, FAs trying to get everyone settled in a courteous, friendly manner, so the pilot can push away from the gate beginning their flight to destination on time. Think about that last statement. If the pilot pushes away on time, you arrive on time where someone is waiting to pick you up, On Time. If you have dinner reservations, you will be there on time. WHY! Because, your pilot and crew on American did their jobs!
May 13th 2010 10:59AM Hey, Hey, Roger I'm with you.
May 13th 2010 10:56AM Well, Lisa. First, your age is showing or pardon me if I'm wrong about your age. You sounded frustrated from the beginning of your airline experience. You had a 1 in a 1,000 situation regarding your luggage. I realize it seems totally unacceptable for a passenger to have her luggage ruined so she had to buy new. Did American offer to pay for part of your new piece of luggage? Sometimes, yes, people are rude. If there are a myriad of negative circumstances presented to an FA while she is in the midst of doing all preflight checks, yes, she or he can be a little short on nicities. How often did you fly American?
I think, like any family member, friend, waitress, or store employee, American deserves another chance?
Sure is hard not to make some mistakes going through the isles of a plane every day. Sure is hard not to make mistakes every day anywhere. I also realize on your part of this situation it is very hard to remain positive when you are ignored or being spoken to rudely by anyone. I also want to say there will be a new day to look forward to and another morning sun to cheer you up. And just maybe another flight on American Airlines.
May 13th 2010 9:39AM I resent the mystery rider's comments of American Airlines. I am a former flight attendant for American and have flown American Airlines for 50 years. Much longer, I'm sure than you, Mystery.
I have also experienced on Spirit, Delta, U S Airways, the rude overweight so much in the rear the attendant could hardly walk the aisle. The flight attendants on the above mentioned airlines, excluding American Airlines, when their service of drinks was finished they disappeared into the front of the plane and read magazines and books.
American Airlines attendants, joked and smiled and laughed at my husband's jokes throughout our flight. We were in the economy class bulkhead seats because we are elderly and have arthritis. Remarkable how these lovely ladies and gentlemen remember who gets what drink and if the drink isn't available on their carrier, one of the attendants hurrys down the isle to get the drink in the buffet area. The captains and co-pilots are well versed in what is happening in the cockpit and refer that information to us as needed. They are congenial, pleasant and announce the usually early arrival at out destination. Most flights we have taken on American Airlines have either been on time or ahead of schedule.
I will challenge any negative comment Mystery rider, that you have regarding American Airlines.
Mar 22nd 2010 3:33PM Smoke, you have no idea, not a clue of what Tiger's life is like! If you say you have never done anything sexually wrong, think again!
Mar 22nd 2010 3:22PM Enough already! Let Tiger get on with his life! Don't tell me none of you "writer jokers" never did anything "sexual" out of line in your fast moving, open ended lives!
Nov 4th 2009 1:02PM Hi Dennis
Nubs reminds me of many unforgetable instances with my dog. Skippy who came to our back door one summer day in Arizona when I was 14. She was my very first pet. She gave us many puppies to play with and taught us to be responsible children. Her love and affection will always stay in my mind.
