Did you go vegetarian first, or did you make the change in one fell swoop?
Rory: Definitely gradual. I went from eating cows, chickens, and pigs overnight because of what I learned. About a year later I stopped eating fish. Not too long after that I stopped eating eggs, and then milk, and then for about 10 years I struggled with cheese. That was the hardest one. Now I'm happy.
Kim: For me it was the same, it was gradual. I did the meat, the cow and all the meat products. The dairy and the fish were the last to go, and it took me a couple years to get everything out of my system.
Rory: Do what you can. If you're not ready to go vegan overnight - we certainly weren't - do what you can do. One step at a time. If you're interested but don't know how to do it, maybe just stop eating chicken. Or, for 30 days, say I'm not gonna eat any dead birds.
