Pancakes: Serve with ale, jam, liquer, caviar and meat

Old English batter is mixed with ale. German and French pancakes are served with jam or jelly. The folded and rolled French crêpe suzette is heated in a sauce of butter, sugar, citrus juice and liqueur. Russian blintzes are commonly served with caviar, sour cream, cream cheese or jam.
