Do something for others

Sometimes low self-confidence causes us to be a little wrapped up in our own issues. When we're so worried about our own insecurities, it's hard to step outside of that and see ourselves as others do. So put yourself and your needs aside occasionally and do something for others. Volunteer for a local charity, participate in a walk/run for a cause, help an elderly neighbor with work in the yard. It's amazing how focusing on someone else's needs can give your self-confidence a huge boost. Return to Summer Slimdown Guide.
