Deep-fried foods

In recent studies, trans fats were linked to an increase in belly fat, even in diets where the calorie counts stayed the same. Even if your favorite fried food is cooked in grease that's trans fat-free, it's still loaded with unhealthy saturated fat and calories. Though it might be tempting to eat that fried elephant ear at the local fair this summer or order fries with your beach side lunch, that "I really shouldn't have eaten that" feeling is rarely worth it.
