High-sodium foods

When you eat too much salt, your body retains water to dilute the inflammatory effect of salt on your body's tissues. For you, that translates to puffier hands and feet, as well as a harder time buttoning your pants. You can avoid the obvious salty offenders like french fries and potato chips, but be sure to check food labels for sodium levels on frozen dinners and other processed foods, which are also usually very high in salt.
