Pull-ups are the ultimate upper body training tactic. Bars are cheap and results can be massive. Pull-ups work the trapezius, lats, deltoids, pecs, biceps, triceps, erectors, forearms, palm grip, and abdominals. Add a leg lift to the mix and they're the most elite option for abominable abdominals.
