FITZ: I imagine most women secretly wish they, too, could grace the cover of Sports Illustrated; was it amazing to have that honor three times?

CHERYL: Absolutely, and it should be a dream. It's great to have something to strive for. I actually gained about 40-50 pounds a while back, and I hung a photo of a woman in a red bikini on my fridge for inspiration. It's funny, each time Julie Campbell called to tell me I was chosen to pose for the magazine, she'd say "don't lose any weight"! S.I. wanted us voluptuous and spilling out of our suits.
