Plastic water bottles can be recycled, so they don't hurt the environment

I hope nobody really thinks this anymore, but if you do, you need to know this -- the 70 million empty water bottles the U.S. produces per day can be recycled, but the sad truth is, about 86 percent of them end up in the trash. Additionally, bottled water requires manufacturing, transport, stocking, and marketing -- all of which has an environmental impact.
