Sometimes, you have to go for the hard stuff. If you have majorly tough or callused areas, seek out really rough, coarse ingredients. Additionally, a thicker, more paste-like texture will help it stick to areas like elbows and heels. Don't waste your time scrubbing these areas with the stuff made for your face, though -- it really won't help. Try something like this Cocoa Butter Body Scrub, $20 at The Body Shop. + Thick, pastelike scrubs, which stick better on elbows, feet, and knees Avoid + Very oily or creamy formulations, as they tend to slide off easily + Fine grains like sugar or jojoba beads, which aren't coarse enough for the job
