You want pretty full coverage, but with the option of showing a little skin

The cover-up we choose often depends on the situation -- I'm more likely to wear just a skirt and bikini top when I'm at the pool with my husband, but I might wear something with a little more coverage at the beach. This type of top gives you the option to close it up tight when you want to keep it all hidden, or open it up a bit and give somebody a peek should you so choose. The other thing that's great about a cover-up that opens in the front is that you don't have to pull it over your head, which keeps your sunglasses and hat a little safer. Plus, it's a little more lady-like to shrug it off your shoulders than to yank it off over your head. Solid seaside shirtdress $60 available at J. Crew. Return to Summer Slimdown Guide.
