Royal Wedding Slim Down: Did Kate Middleton Overdo the Dieting?

The royal wedding is tomorrow and the world's abuzz. As the royal staff has been preparing Westminster Abbey and the Palace for the ceremony of the decade, princess-to-be Kate Middleton has been preparing to fit into that extravagant (and secret) wedding gown.
All brides try and slim down to look their best in the wedding albums, but Middleton and her mother have been both admired and criticized in the press for their rapid weight loss using the Dukan Diet.

Do you think Kate being on the Dukan diet was healthy or dangerous and unnecessary?
We asked some of our readers, and here's what they had to say:

Her position makes her more vulnerable to looking good. These type hypes with weight loss/diets for the famous and those in the news. It is really hard to listen to or read about. Not good role models...

Everyone makes judgments -- too fat, too thin -- whatever! In truth, I think she is doing what a lot of brides-to-be do. It is usually short term, usually not overly detrimental, and if you look around at those brides a few years out from their wedding day few maintains that skinny frame!
Sabrina T.
Gone too far!

Maybe I'm just too much of a mom -- but I just hope she isn't trying to lose weight (under the media pressure to "be a skinny bride") and then starving herself...and then passing out at her own wedding. Seriously, I just hope she can eat as normal as possible and not be sickly by Friday!
Nancy L.
I don't approve but what else can she do? She has no choice knowing how the media loves to tear people apart for not being perfect.

Can't blame her -- the whole world is going to be watching her! WAY more pressure/stress than the typical bride!
