Campbell's soup is being sued by four New Jersey women who believe they were misled into paying more for the label's low-sodium brand. When they read the back of the soup can to get more information regarding the sodium levels, they discovered it had almost as much sodium as Campbell's regular tomato soup.

We love the low-sodium push these days across America; however, companies should not take advantage of a healthy eating initiative and use it to overcharge their customers.

Were our users wrongfully fooled by Campbell's low-sodium labels, or do they know better than to believe product labels?

Campbell's and Kellogg's are major food corporations that have been around a LONG time- but they can produce some of the worst foods!! High sodium, HFCS, lots of chemicals & preservatives, etc. awful stuff!!!

Not fooled at all but hate their commercials touting healthy sodium levels! Sodium is sodium, whether it's sea salt or idozied salt or kosher salt. Too much is not good for anyone! Sea salt is acutally more higly concentrated so you need less of it than regular salt but it's not healthier.

Campbells also uses preservatives like MSG in their soups... so be careful if you are allergic to preservatives... or you find out the hard way like me.

Not just campbell soup, unfortunately. I was at Costco recently and checked labels for Chicken stock/broth. 3 different brands. The low sodium was 1 of the 2 highest in sodium. I was amazed...

I just make my own soup and I control the sodium level ... I don't buy anything processed .... does it take more time than opening a freaking can of soup...yes it does but well worth it!!!!

Nothing beats making your own soup, where you control the quality of your ingredients. Bobie, good point!
