Would You Eat Breast Milk Ice Cream?

Believe it or not, a specialist ice-cream parlor in London started serving "Baby Gaga," a breast milk ice cream, last Friday. The founder, Matt O'Connor, says breast milk ice cream should be thought of as an "organic, free-range treat" provided by mothers who answered an advertisement on an online forum.

One mother who donated her milk to the parlor and encourages mothers to breast-feed their children as opposed to bottle-feeding thinks that if people realized how tasty breast milk really is, they would start-breast feeding their newborns.

Healthy, natural, organic or what have you, this concept is definitely out there. Will the trend of breast milk ice cream catch on or is the idea too far-fetched for our readers?

That is disgusting!

OMG! Who would eat this??

Rachel F.
Hopefully it is tested... otherwise, how is that more gross than drinking milk from a different species (cows)? Really, what other adult animal drinks the milk of another adult animal? Yet people are disgusted about drinking human milk? I would love this for my son who is allergic to milk, I wish I would have thought to save some to try to make this when I was breastfeeding.

No way would I drink it. You would have no idea of what the woman has consumed that can be transmitted thru the milk.

They actually have a lot of women donating. While I wouldn't eat it, you have to consider that we're not really supposed to consume cow's milk. That's milk for cow babies. Breastmilk is for human babies. Cows probably think we're nuts for eating ice cream with their milk. ;)

Ummm that is gross! Is he planning on testing it for diseases first? Omg beyond not normal!

Bobbi K.
Couldn't pay me to try it! That is not right! :(

Umm who is going to donate their breast milk?

Heather R.
Yeah, most of me says "that is totally and completely disgusting". But, a small part, a very small part is kind of intrigued. No way I would from a stranger, but the idea might have merit within a family group, maybe, if I could finish wrapping my brain around it, because really, most of me is still disgusted.
