As we saw in the "Team Fonda Fast Abs Sculpt," the new Jane Fonda Workout line of DVDs features some of today's leading fitness experts, such as the instructor in "Ultra Bootcamp," Jeanette Jenkins.

I really liked Jenkins' "Cardio Dance," and I enjoyed her section of "Fast Abs Sculpt," so I had high hopes for "Ultra Bootcamp."

The 60-minute DVD offers cardio and strength work (with light weights) in a fast-paced workout. Jenkins is the only one in the video, but somehow, although she gets good and sweaty, she hardly gets out of breath -- an amazing feat, considering she's on the go from the moment the workout starts.

Level of Difficulty
Intermediate to advanced

Next-Day Soreness
Moderate.

Who's It For?
The workout is somewhat sports based, so athletes (or former athletes) will enjoy some of those moves. If you like up-tempo, go-go-go workouts, this might be right for you.

Likes
I really liked the quick pace, and the variety of workouts was a lot of fun -- it really didn't feel like a full hour.

Dislikes
Jenkins' movements did not go with the music, and her counts were often off rhythm, which I found quite distracting. Also, some of the moves (particularly some of the basketball exercises) took up a lot of room; I have a fairly large living room, and I was running into the couch.

Bottom Line
It's a solid, challenging workout. I'm not as in love with it as I wanted to be, but it definitely worked my whole body and is totally worth another go.
