Jewel, the country singer who was born and raised in Alaska, was never as svelte as her peers. She avoided looking in mirrors and didn't like seeing herself. Instead of joining the many women in her industry with disordered eating patterns, she lost weight through eating fruits and vegetables while focusing on cardiovascular training.
