Cooking Light
Cooking Light is introducing its newest cookbook on December 28, "Cooking Light Mix & Match Low-Calorie Cookbook," which lets readers choose various meals that add up to 1,500 calories a day. And these aren't your typical diet recipes -- we're talking about dishes like sweet potato biscuits, shrimp po'boys, cheesy hot artichoke dip and mudslide cookies, all of which we're absolutely dying to try.
Breakfast weighs in at close to 300 calories, lunch at 400, dinner at 500 and snacks at 150 (and you're allotted two). Additionally, each recipe has an option for "a little more," just in case you're looking to add a few more calories per meal.
Those familiar with Cooking Light recipes will be glad to know that although some of the recipes are a bit ingredient heavy, this cookbook does an impressive job of providing recipes that can be made in batches or prepared the night before and reheated to save time.
The book hits shelves December 28, and we're giving away five copies!
